2019 European Open

The beast starts to feel like it's not such a "Beast" anymore...so much Blue on the scorecards

Jesse Nieminen is playing the round of his life, 12 down through 13 holes!

That bogey, bogey finish sucks for him, but what a round. He birdied 3 through 13!

It still may hold on as the hot round unless Ricky birdies out

It makes me sad I can't watch this live.

I don't think that we need a full blown live production (ala SmashBoxxTV). That is cost prohibitive unless you find someone local and cheap. But, I do think there should be SOME FB live everyday. Or constant highlights being pushed out.

Waiting for post production for a major is depressing.

Painful to see Cat go 7 over par on two holes. Based on UDisc she missed a tap-in on 16.

This is a really hard course for the FPO field. . .some people want different tees for the women on all courses others dont

I think this is a real metal challenge, it´s HARD not to loose your mental game after a few hard holes. . . . . Cat sometimes plays really bad if things start to not go her way

I think the mental challenge on a course like this is that there are a lot of decisions that can be counter to how a golfer wants to play, at least one who wants to contend. It gets frustrating starting a hole knowing that even with perfect play, the best you're going to do is maybe give yourself a putt for par. When those holes outnumber the holes you can potentially birdie, the whole round feels like an uphill battle from the start. I'm not sure it's a flaw or weakness in the mental game to falter in such cases. Because even with clean, smart play, it's probably not enough to contend for the win, especially if you miss a couple make-able birdies early. Eventually, you're going to feel the pressure to gamble just to have a chance to keep up.
