pretty sure its a mandatory quarantine required by Canada, not the US. It is poor planning, but not a huge deal. He probably was poised to play pretty well there considering it is a "home" course for him now.

But maple hill is in the US?
I don't know, what was Simons deal then?
I just did a search online and I can't find anything that says you have to quarantine for 14 days. As long as you show a negative test result within 3 days before entering the US you should be good to go. We recently had a visitor from Central America arrive and she was not told to quarantine by anyone at customs or the airport. All she had to do was show her negative test result and vaccination card. Does anyone have a link that states otherwise?

he flew into Canada, so before he can do anything, he needs to finish the 14 day quarantine. I know where Maple Hill is.
^if you need a good laugh FF to the 25:00 min mark...
Buddy of mine came back from Portugal a few weeks back. He had a layover in Canada. Had to take a test before he left Europe and then had to pass a rapid test when he landed in Chicago. No quarantine.
aray, looks like that Nytimes article is almost 2 months old.
I'm in favor of leaving more trees. Hole 1 should be tougher than it's been scoring the last few years. It's a signature hole, but my thought is a signature hole shouldn't average a 1/2 stroke under par.
Uli mentioned he had birdied it the last 5 times he's played it. He's a top 10-15 player at most events, but even the top 3 shouldn't just roll off birdies on this hole every time.
