A coworker who doesn't understand the sport called my bag a "frisbee purse" and I thought how many other misconceptions to the masses have about our favorite pastime. Any stories?

It's not a purse. It's a men's carryall. It's European.:)

Haha That's a new one! I don't have anything like that, but I did have one guy ask if I could spare one so He could play catch with his kid. I had to tell him "You don't want to play catch with these". He gave me the look of "Bull****". So I tossed my wraith at him. Not hard enough to drill him, but with just enough force that would convey the message of "See, I told you!" :D Of course that lead to him wanting to know more about the sport, which was fine, but I was just wanting to play.

Relating to what RussMB said, I think the most common "misconception" IS how people seem to think that they can't be hit or hurt by a disc. I almost nailed a father and two children who emerged from a blind wooded fairway on their bikes just as I threw my drive. They were happily, playfully biking the course in the opposite direction that discers play the course. Pretty darn dangerous and stupid if you ask me.

get some back straps so you dont have to carry it like a purse

and leave the lipstick and tampons at home

It's not a purse. It's a satchel. Indiana Jones wears one.

Perhaps some players should be carrying a purse full of hygeine items for those times when they play a course that actually offers a challenge. This way they can "freshen up" before they write a review on how traumatic an experience it was.

Don't forget their tear rag.
