THE DEFINITIVE PORTABLE BASKET THREAD

Nice work prerube!
I normally don't even click these basket threads but I did since I saw you started it.

Anyone want to start a pool for when the next portable basket thread will pop up?

PS, get those junky homemade baskets out of this thread- it's like you asking about dg bags and me suggesting a market bag.

Ching Chainmaster 32 chains @39 lbs Priced out at about $220 bucks

It's probably our best tournament basket we have used as a temp basket and definitely the one everyone googles over.

A little bulky to cart around but so is the DB-%'s and Innova/Discraft metal portables.

I currently have a InStep...i have had no problems with it other than single row of chains which can be fixed..I only have $50 in mine so all and all its great but if you do buy one I would also buy some chain for a second row at the same time

the ching chainmaster lite has 16 chains not 12. I would also at the regular chainmaster to the list (32 chains) you can get them for i believe 200 or 220 shipped from gotta go.

just got 3 DGA M-14s from "discgolfbasketstore" on Ebay shipped to my door for $120 each. dude is superfast and i am extremely happy with them. they snap together with a metal push button/pin and are super easy to move. made out of metal and can take a pretty hard hit. only bad thing is you can get a spit through putt, but for the price they are excellent.

I couldn't agree more. I just got mine last week and have been extremely impressed so far. It catches better than both the DB5 and Discatcher Sport, is incredibly sturdy, and I didn't have to add a second row of chains. I paid right around $200.

Nice reference thread! For what it's worth I love my Discatcher Sport. Added another ring of chains inside and it catches like the real deal. It's held up great being outside for the last 5 years. It is pretty easy to transport if need be.

This list was for $200 and under, Lightning DB5 can be found for under $200, but the average is $209. I could not find the Chainmaster anywhere for under 200, so it did not make the list.

I like how this was first posted at 2am. Had something on your mind Prerube?

I started this thread before, but never posted it. I started it much earlier, but did not finish until 2am. It was theday before election day, so I had no school in the morning, so I did not go to bed until 2 :)

Not sure who knows this or not but the new Innova traveler is a pentagon shape. It's actually a lot better. I think that with it's portability and that it can catch so much better now that it's a top 2 portable basket. Especially for price and the fact that it's still only 13.5 pounds

My ching skillshot does not give me the same satisfying chain sound. Sounds cheap!
