first wamn day i have been able to get out and throw some, i still have my discs from the Big D, and i figured i would humor myself and try and hit some rediculous # with the high winds today. if anyone lives in VA or MD today you know what im talking about...2nd best throw was 672'...i did 24 throws, so the best throw was just the luck of the wind honestly, but still fun to watch, if i had someone here to video tape i would post some throws!

762'
170 Pro Katana
22mph gusting to 30+
58 degrees
@ sea level

well I just threw 763' at 7000' with no wind...

seriously, with out a vid, who cares?

You're a God. I'll be more than happy if I can hit 400' this summer, I think it's gonna happen...

Damn. A video wouldn't help. You'd barely be able to see that thing fly anyway. Nice chuck, even with the wind.

kachtz, you're a friggin' animal. Despite the fact that it was a wind assist, it's still twice as far as I've huked one. Good on you.

Nice toss. I'm gonna have to start messing around on those high wind days. Do you want it to be a tailwind or do you like it to be some sort of crosswind? Dan Beto told me he has thrown further than the record on days like this. I would love to see some videos just to get an idea of how you are throwing the disc.

with a really strong wind, if you try to throw directly with the wind, your shots will probably end up way shorter, the idea is to throw about 45-50 degrees across the wind, and your basically trying to throw a "roller" but launching it as high and far out as you can get it, and then let the wind do the work. i may go out and try a video real fast, obviously you will not be able to see the disc far out, but you will see the technique.

I just went back and read some of your first threads, Kachtz. There's a lot of hate. Lot of hate on those youtube comments too. But you've got a freakin' cannon, no doubt about that.

There is a lot of hate, but methinks a lot of it is fueled by jealousy, envy, or the personal insecurities of the people that do the trash talking. kachtz has posted plenty of evidence that he's legit and had enough reputable people that have vouched for seeing him perform first hand. Despite all the negativity, kachtz has been nothing but magnanimous about the unnecessary criticism he's received and I have a lot of respect for him because of that.

This. Although I would love to see this in person. I did see Avery in the fall tossing 500+ and was amazed.

How much control do you have on its landing location with that kind of wind/distance????

I dont think he cares when doing this. Sometimes placement matters and sometimes you just want to throw as far as you can.
