I'll probably play Advanced. I was really trying to play Open by this summer, but I played less than 15 rounds of golf during this year of college, and got virtually zero practice time in. Sucks, but it happens. =/
And I'm bringing 3 friends from school with, one of which plays Advanced...
Hahaha, yes Jeffrie should play up in AM1. I was supposed to be playing Open this time around, but when you don't throw a disc once in 6 months, that tends to hinder progress. =P
Yeah man, you'll be fine. Agree with everyone else here, the front nine is all about accurate shot placement.
Definitely wear proper footwear, and get ready for the slowest round you've ever played. =)
Well worth it, though. Black Diamond is a fantastic course.

Yeah, it hasn't been updated in a while. Dave really has been focusing on course planting lately. A lot of people on the website don't play for Gateway anymore, and there are a lot of unlisted players, especially on the Am team.

Understanding and playing the odds is one thing I do consider myself good at during tournament play. It all comes down to confidence. I generally play it safe during the first round, and take the birdies as they come. Wide open 350ft shot? That's a birdie run, go for it. Tight dogleg left...
