    Parked it tags

I was playing on my course recently when I found 2 bag tags randomly hanging from two different baskets on my course. This gave me the idea of "Parked it" tags. These would be tags that players would hang on the basket of holes they really enjoyed. This would be a small reward for people that...

Review by gabdisc in course Grand Park

0.00 star(s) Waste of decent baskets This courses actually has decent baskets. I have nothing else positive to say about this course. No directional indicators, so no way to know what basket to throw to. Nothing to throw around or through. This is simply an open flat field. There is a hole that requires to...

    Player Preference for Sanctioned Events

Events outside I am and AM50. I go to tournaments just for the disc golf and to hang out with disc golfers. I want to play so as much golf as possible. I am a poor player and have no chance to prize but still want the course to be a serious challenge. Don't care about player's packs. I would...

In Memory: The Best Extinct Courses

It was a small course in a small mountain town in CO, but Miller's Inn in Fraser was a fun course with a great feel and atmosphere. It could never stand up to the modern courses of today since it closed probably 20 years ago.

Home course is getting yanked next year (Lighthouse in CO)

Why not partner with the city to install the baskets somewhere else and build a high quality course? I am sure you could find several course designers to help if that seems overwhelming. Form a group or club to help if you want to do the work yourselves. If the local disc golfers build it it...

    Bohart Ranch

I wish that there was something that the rest of us from outside the area could do. It is a nice course and I know you put a lot of work in out there. Thank you so much for answering my question. I will be there Friday morning!

    Bohart Ranch

I know that Bohart is on it's way out. So sad. I will be there this Friday. I have heard that last weekend it was removed but it says here Saturday Oct 7 is the last day to play there. Can anyone tell me I can still play Friday?

Most EXTREME course you've ever played?

Diamond Diamond X. Haven't been to Diamond X since the big collapse. I hear that they had to move some of the holes. It still has to be on this list. Did anyone play the course at the New World Mine outside of Gardiner MT. It was back in the 90s when they pulled it out of there and I have no...

    Purchasing some disks, help

No one is nicer that disc golfers. Once you find a local course go to a night that they have league play. The players there will answer questions and more importantly let you throw some of their discs. When you find one that you like start with that one. Unfortunately not all discs of the same...

    Spearfish South Dakota-No man's Land?

Thanks breezywywh for the Custer recommendation. Our course can use all the traffic it can get. We have more deer than players.

Best Places to Retire and Play Disc Golf?

A lot to think about This is a very interesting question. There are a lot great places for disc golf but do you want to go somewhere already built, well known, and possibly busy; maybe somewhere hidden and growing; or the next great place that has a lot of untapped potential? Do you want to go...

Review by gabdisc in course Pageant Hill

5.00 star(s) Course has been renewed Beautiful park in the southern Black HIlls. Very nice over looks of the town, Needles, and Harney Peak. Not just another city park course. Think more of a walk in the woods with discs. A wide variety of terrain makes each hole interesting and fun. Very nice large tee...

[Question] Oldest disc in your bag?

Early 80 big bird Roc So I have this Roc that I bought somewherre around 1980 maybe as late 83? I keep replacing it with newer Rocs but end up giving those away to new players with just drivers to help round out their game. That keeps puting this old beat up thing back in the bag. Better than...

    sidearm disc?

I would agree with Brad. Any disc can be thrown side arm it all about your mechanics. Get with a friend with a lot of dics and throw what they have several times. Get what they have that you like and prepare to change as your throw chnges.

Tree markers to assist in disc finding

I have a course that is moderately wooded. It is all Ponderosa pine in what is termed "pine savanna" which means there is a fair amount of grass and very light underbrush on the course. The newly growing small trees can get very dense and they are in the areas where I have not removed them. This...
