    Humbolt County (CA) Conditions…

I'll be traveling to the Ferndale, CA area next week and would like to play a round while I'm there. Just read that the "Redwood Curtain" has been hammered by logging, but that update was in December. Can anyone give my a more up to date report on course conditions at Humbolt State, or other...

The Dye A Day Thread! (Part II)

Long time, no dyes! It seems like forever since I've checked in here. I haven't dyed a disc in quite a while. Other priorities and such. I've taken a quick look around, but I need to spend a good while to check out what I've been missing. Looks great from what I've seen so far! With the SJ...

Thanks DD! I have to admit that was not planned. It was a "happy accident"... but it seems to be happening with consistency with this method. Peace, -Jeff

A couple of recent dyes... A simple Spiff on a G* FB for my Daughter... ...and one that might make some collectors cringe, but it wasn't for me to decide, and came out better than I thought it would. A nice CE Eagle. We'll see what it looks like in a few months... Peace, -Jeff

    Noobie Dye Question Thread

Cloudkicker, When you placed the disc into the SC, did you "push" it down? Looks like the dye moved early during the process. How long did you leave it in? If you want a design that holds closer to what it looks like before you put the disc onto the SC, go with a shallow bed of SC, in a plate...

The Dye A Day Thread! (Part II)

You all have been posting some very nice dyes lately! Here's a couple I did for a tournament coming up this weekend. First and second attempts at what I am calling the "sprinkle & pour" method. First is a Gold Line River... Second is a Champion FB... I was pretty happy with my...

Thanks DD! Outer ring is a spin dye. I actually flipped it over and went to the edge of the rim on the bottom too. Nice work on all that cutting! I've a whole new appreciation for your dyes I've seen in the past! You'll love having a plotter, but there's always going to be those times when...

Nice work again, DD! Are you hand cutting ALL of these? Well, here's the XXX. Ended up going thinner than originally planned on the outlines, and dark blue instead of black... Peace, -Jeff

The Dye A Day Thread! (Part II)

Just hand cut and eyeball. Thinking back, I would have added it to the original file used for the mask. :o If I wanted to be exact, I would use some striping tape as a guide, but I think I can get it close enough. Peace, Jeff
