a long time ago, I was once known as one of the better artists known on this site. Not the best, but close to it. Many of you loved my work. Rit dye gave up or lost its formula for its dye and I lost it. I tried IDYE, but still cant figure out how to make it work right. Over the last few years I have sent RIT email after email asking why they couldnt do a Poly dye anymore. I got a few responses her and there. I sent them pics of the dyes I did and told them that their dye is still highly wanted among us dye artists. Still nothing for a few years now. I just got this post today from them though: https://www.ritstudio.com/2015/04/15/announcing-rit-dyemore-rits-new-polyester-dye/

I dont want to say it was because of me bugging them, but RIT is coming back with a new line of dye that works on Poly (plastic) once again!!! :)

Welcome back, Trozzle.

There's been a few threads about Dyemore here...

I've tried a few of the colors. The Sapphire Blue and Apricot Orange are both nice. The Peacock Green also came out as a nice blue on a test I did, so I've been reluctant to use it again since. I'll be getting a few more when I run out of my old formula stash.

FWIW, I've also tried a couple of these...

The Neon Green was nice, but the Neon Pink was pretty weak.

Peace,

for me personnaly Rit dye was always the best. I tryed IDYE but didnt like using it or the results compared to Rit. my technique is different from many though, I mostly paint on colors and not just a soak dye. I am very happy that Rit is getting a true poly dye back again. I dont know if I was part of the decision or not, but i hope that my countless emails with them had some say in the decision :)
