For me the Zone/Harp/Envy discs had too much fade, I felt like I had to spend too much attention into compensating for that. Especially since putters need to be thrown kinda high for distance, leaving even more room for fade.
Alternatively, the Fierce (or Deputy) that I putt with just goes so...
My main discs are Thunderbird/CD2/Valkyrie/Sidewinder. I throw them all in Gstar. I would struggle to tell which is which blindfolded and I've got months and months leaning these discs.
Since this question was answered I'm going to piggy back a question about ratings.
I'm 900 rated with the November update.
My included rounds are 881, 878, 888, 874, 896, 881, 780, 906, 850, 956, 931, 769, 892, 920, 929, 884, 895, 861, 986, 929, 940, 904, 870, 881, 859, 837, 981, 878, 898...
Man you just never know.
I've got a 163g Gstar sidewinder that flies 9/5/-2.5/1. Been trying to find a replacement for that.
So I bought a 163g Star sidewinder but it flies 9/4/-.5/2.
Then I bought a 173 Gstar sidewinder but it flies 9/4/0/3.
It can be expensive and time consuming finding a...
I've been puzzled as to why more discs like this don't exist. Straight (not overstable) low glide putt and approach discs. Currently the Berg is the only thing out there like this. Lots of folks are happy with Zone type discs but if you play with lots of elevation and side slopes you have to be...
I've seen discs like that but it hasn't been my experience with the Hades yet. The Bolt would do that to me. Little too much turn and its gone, not fighting back at all. Too much hyzer and it's spiking. Really small sweet spot.
Just got my first First Run in, have to decide if I'm going to...
I was sure these would be a big hit. Copy of the best selling putter the last few years, great name, sponsoring arguably the most popular pro out there. I guess between Nate not being on tour and on commentary to sell it and availability issues it just hasn't had a chance to take off.
Almost nobody jump putts inside 50 feet and anytime someone makes a putt outside 50' it's cool as hell and should be encouraged.
For step putting, if it were such a big advantage everyone would do it. I estimate 80% of players choose not to step putt, so if it isn't a big advantage they can't...
Rename the Novice division to Casual and watch that division's participation boom. Which in turn would get more people playing their rating in other divisions.
People who have been playing for 2 years and are still 820 rated don't want to play in a division called Novice. So they play...
The plastic is the only thing I don't like about the Hades. I'm still bagging it and throwing it, nothing else I have seems to glide so far with the same control. But it's far too hard and slick for my tastes. I think as it gets colder I won't have a choice but to replace it with something else.
