Good choice for first overstable driver

Thanks for the advice everyone! I've actually got an ace race coming up in October, so I'll be sure to give that a shot!

Good choice for first overstable driver

For sure! I top out around 300-350, and I've mainly been throwing a Avenger SS and a Nuke SS. For mids, just a Buzz!

Good choice for first overstable driver

Hey all! Going to be picking up my first overstable driver. I've been using mainly understable discs but as my arm speed/snap is increasing, I'd like to shoot for something a bit more overstable One of my buddies said a Banshee would be a good place to start. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Level playing field not so level, yet?

I think it's that Paul's just super clutch as was mentioned. When it gets close and the intensity ratchets up he plays that much better. He lives for those kind of moments

So, how did you play today?

Went to Blue Ribbon Pines for the first time today...suffice to say I was well over par. Had a great time though, what an awesome course!

Review by rdwyer in course Northview Park

2.00 star(s) Decent Casual Course -Good place to take someone who's new to the game -Pleasant walk through and around a park -Decent concrete tee pads -Good chance for an ace on every hole -Too simple -Very short. It seems like most holes are less than 200 feet -Close to tennis courts and baseball fields...

Review by rdwyer in course Wirth Par 3

3.00 star(s) Slightly Disappointed Always fun to have a new course in the metro area. I felt like a country club member playing on the golf course! Option to rent a cart is nice as well. Course was very well manicured, nice new baskets. Good mixture of short and long holes, some big bombs so you can break...

You want to know why DG is awesome?

On a similar note, I was playing at Rosland Park in Edina yesterday. A friend of mine and I were joking around so I tossed an old tourney-stamped Groove that I keep in my bag for shots that I worry I'll lose a disc on at him. Turns out I forgot to pick it up after I threw, and later that night I...

Review by rdwyer in course Moir Park

2.00 star(s) Suprisingly fun! Fun, short course, a good place to bring a beginner to so they can learn the game. Lots of chances to bag an ace! In a nice community park. Very easy to navigate, once you find the first hole, you're good to go. Fun old-school baskets that make it really easy to drop puts into...

[Vibram] Anyone throw a Vibram driver

I know that there's a Vibram disc golf thread here, but I just wanted to see if any of you guys have thrown that Vibram driver. There was a kid at my course yesterday, and he was hucking it pretty far. He claimed it was understable. Have any of you guys thrown this driver? if so, what are your...

What are the popular molds at your home course?

At Rosland Park in Edina, MN there's a lot of Wraiths, Avenger SS's and Magnets

    Late Release Problems

Right. I might just pick up a cheap DX one and try to learn with that.

    Late Release Problems

I'd say about 250' at the farthest. I'm still learning the right way to throw, I just don't wanna develop bad habits when I'm still getting everything down :p

    Late Release Problems

I'm using an Avenger SS and a guy at my local shop told me to try a Roadrunner, so I picked one of those up yesterday. I've mainly just been holding the disc as flat as possible, so no real hyzer angle

    Late Release Problems

About two months ago I changed my throwing style, and I am now able to throw much farther than before. However, for some reason now I seem to be releasing the discs very late. It doesn't seem to affect my distance too much, but all my shots are veering very far left (I'm left handed) because of...
