Excellent. It would be great to also see a return of the sorting and filtering feature of your scorebook back too. There are times that I just want to view my scores over to time for a particular course ... or view all of the rounds that I have l have played over a specific time period.

Has the formula been changed on a round rating for courses? A course (Lincoln Park DGC) I played in April (and also October 2022) at a -7 (39) was rated at an 894. The round I played last week (which I just entered the details today) was also scored as a -7 (39) but it was rated as an 840...

Review by ssejhill in course Royalton Ravine

4.50 star(s) Nicely done Niagara Parks * New turf pads * Good signage * Course fairways have been cleared of debris and bushes were necessary * Variety of shots needed (hyzer, anhyer, uphill, downhill, ...) - you'll be using all your shots * Who doesn't like a challenge? * Course design does seem to favor...

Review by ssejhill in course Chestnut Ridge - The Ravine

1.00 star(s) 9 is enough! Chestnut Ridge is a change of pace from Como, Beaver Island and Evangola. Love the ravines and the elevation changes. Loved holes 1 and 9. TREES!!! The course plays through way too much of the woods. After the first 9 holes I was going to grade the course out around a 4, maybe...

Review by ssejhill in course Lincoln Park DGC

2.50 star(s) A nice starter course - New course in quiet neighborhood which may help generate more interest for the sport. - Short course, both in length of holes (holes average about 300ft) and the number of holes (12), allow most players to get in a round quickly - Very generous pars on the course. Par 5...

Review by ssejhill in course Angry Apple DGC

3.50 star(s) Interesting, but ... The Apple plays as an interesting and very different course than I've ever played. It seems that several reviewers mentioned that the holes seemed repetitive and frolfer I played the course with complained that most of the holes were just plain straight runs, but I found...

    Save the Eternal Flame

time to relocate the second course ... By open I believe that Gerry means closer to the developed areas of the park (ie. near shelters, roads, ...) The Eternal Flame area has long been a part of Chestnut Ridge Park called the Shale Creek preserve, which is a small section of the 1200+ acre...

Review by ssejhill in course Evangola State Park - Old Layout

2.50 star(s) A refreshed course but no maps The course does have its Pros - [1] few people play there so you won't feel rushed as a group behind you waits, [2] water hazards are kept to a bare minimum (only 1 and even that one is dependent on weather conditions), [3] the course isn't so heavily weighted to...

How long after your first ace did you hit your second?

I'm still at zip on the aces, though I primarily play at Como Lake where it is near impossible for anyone to throw an ace. The shortest hole from the blue tees (where we always play from) is 265ft with a wicked dogleg right through some trees. The only other chance for me would be a 304ft over...

Review by ssejhill in course Emerson Park DGC

3.50 star(s) Short but challenging Short, compact course that can be completed fairly quickly. A bit of variety adds to the character. The trees provide plenty of shade for hot summer days and the lake provides fabulous views and a cooling breeze. Cement tee pads for the Yellows are a HUGE help. The give...

Review by ssejhill in course Black Diamond DGC

4.00 star(s) Possibly the toughest in WNY Great variety of woods, open holes, elevation changes, longer holes and 4 tees to choose from. Loved the last 10 holes. [edit] The course was considerably drier this time around. Foot paths are getting nicely worn and signage is awesome. Arrows pointing the way...

Review by ssejhill in course Como Lake Park

4.50 star(s) Challenging & Variety Quiet and close to just about anywhere in Buffalo, NY. Nice layout and some very challenging holes (especially the back 9). Nice degree of variety to the holes and layouts. Maybe a bit too challenging on the back 9. Lots of water hazards on the back 9. Look out on...
