That Amber run is very controllable out of the box. I got to air the Chameleon out a bit on a longer, open course this week and was able to get some nice straight to turnover lines out of it. It's sneaky long!

My home course Valley Park opens with a water carry. It's a shade over 200' from the short tees but 400'+ if you're playing the par four long tees. It's quite the start especially when the wind is blowing!

You might consider overhand throws for accuracy. Those can typically be done without much of a run up and are very predictable if the fairway allows enough room overhead.
