Try the Warlock. It's a "beadless Wizard" so it will have a shorter profile but in my opinion it doesn't lose much stability so it remains great on drives.
I've only tested the AK-47s and liked them so much they replaced my Wizards for putting for the time being. And since it will be brought up the molds are made by Gateway and are just different enough from their Gateway counterparts to necessitate their own PDGA approval.
I grabbed 2 175g proto testers from a local DG shop because the flight characteristics on Disc Golf Center looked interesting. Great feeling plastic; Nice flex in the plate but overall stiff. Thumbtrack was not as pronounced/deep as I thought it would be. The bead is odd because it looks like a...

Even though they are lighter, they do still have a pile of beef on them. Perhaps if you just want something fun to throw a 150 R Pro Boss would suit you better as they really are a good deal (at least HSS) less overstable. Do they even still make 150 R Pro Bosses?
My suggestion to you is to stay away from Blizzard discs as they will be too much disc for you having only played a month. Learn how to throw slower discs and that will do more for your game than trying to stuff a round blizzard peg into a noodle arm hole.

Are your local courses too busy to bring your practices there? Field practice is key but maybe you should do both field and course work in the same day and perhaps the problem will be more clear. Course practice being dumping your bag on a hole. Heh, dumping bags on a hole...
