I'm, at best a novice, so take my opinion with a grain of salt....
I just started throwing my River sidearm and I love it as much as I do my XL which is what I learned sidearm with.
I've tried sidearm with a TeeBird as well as my TL and had better results with the Star TL. My Eagle was better...
I'm a big Buzzz fan and I use it on a tunnel home at the course I play. It doesn't get me the D I'd like to see , but on that hole it's a little better to lay up and go birdie instead of going for D and tacoing on trees and bogeying or worse.
I lost my Champ Orc right after I learned how to throw it. I liked it and it was a go to on two different holes of my home course. I'm looking at a PD to replace it, but part of me wants to get another.
I started with an Aviar P&A. It was alright, but there were more problems with my form plus it was only a 150g. I moved to a Magnet in 175 and liked it but felt there was something better out there. I got a KC Pro Aviar in 175 and really liked it, still do, but I've gone back to the Magnet...
I've got the Fade light. Same capacity as the box, just minus the big pocket on the end. It's held up pretty well in the sand and sometimes wet ground around here.
For that I use my XL. I can get the TL to fade back which comes in handy with weaving through trees. I haven't had as much luck with a big D S curve like I do my TeeDevil.
Pineville PIAS freakin' rocks!
I was in the Rock Hill Dick's over Christmas and their selection sucked. It looked like they shrunk their shelf space from the last time I had been there.
You near Pikeville? I went the the PIAS there and couldn't believe my eyes! Ours has Innova and maybe every now and then some Discraft. This place had everything and alot of it.
I haven't been to the sporting goods section of my Wal Mart in some time and was quite surprised when I came across a pretty big shelf section of DG equipment. Nothing earth shattering, only DX and Pro plastic Innova stuff, basic Innova bag and a Halex three piece starter set, but it took me by...
I've got one in mid 160's and like it alot. I got it knowing full well it was out of my power range but figured I'd do some field work with it from time to time. I ended up breaking it on a pain in the ass hole where I needed a big hook. I put a little anhyzer on, winged the crap out of it and...
If you're hitting the Valk to 300, I'd have to say keep working it. The Eagle is a great disc and is easy to work, but in the long run the Valk will be your D disc until you grow into higher speed stuff.
I had a tough time with the TeeBird until I got the hang of my Eagle. Then after losing my...
All that.
Very good looking site, but not the most intuitive.
A couple small details I noticed.
Pics don't always match the discs (Champ pic on a Star review, etc.)
I like the links to the manufacturer page.
No Discraft?????
I also like the separation between the manufacturers, the type of...
Thanks, Keltik!
I've always got space for the XL. I love how it just sits down at the end of its flight. That's about the only thing that I find different about it and the TB. The TB and the TL run identical lines, the TJ just does it farther from what I've seen. They both hold an anny like...
