Corrigan Propane & A3Disc Proudly Present:
The Winter Warmer Points Series, Event #1

What: Two rounds of 18 holes from the short tees, extra temporary holes are being placed for the event, and some holes...
By any chance, has anyone made an effort to find a font that approximates the font in the Discraft logo (with the disc flying over the top)?
I grew up in Delaware (same # of letters as Discraft) and was going to do a dye mimicking the discs stamped with just the Discraft logo, but with...
I did my second (and third) dyes this weekend - two Captain America shields on, what else? Avengers ;)
Got the red right on one and the blue right on one. Sadly, it wasn't the SAME one ... :o
BLM
5 is lonely.
I have seen essentially this sentiment several times on here, and haven't chipped in my $0.02 ... until now ;) I entirely disagree with this statement. Not because "5" rated courses shouldn't be amazing, or the very upper tier of courses, but because they shouldn't be "perfect" or...
I think this is actually the first place where you see a real score jump. This is about where I am (Avenger - 340, Stalker - 300, Buzzz - 260, Focus - 220, on course distances) and I've just recently seen a huge decrease in scores. I think it's a combination of (as others have mentioned) the...

Home Course
- Very well kept up
- Good mix of open, wooded and in-between holes. This course is not just a couple of holes in a field, then a couple of holes threading through the eye of a needle. Effort was made to have everything from wide open to tunnel, and all points in between.
- Pro tees...
Well ... yes and no. If a player is NOT truly a sandbagger, they'll likely be in the PDGA, and their rating will, indeed, force them to move up. But they aren't the real problem because they aren't truly a sandbagger.
However, if they are a REAL sandbagger, they won't be a PDGA member, and will...

Discing Down South
- Excellent use of elevation
- Enough trees to be challenging, but not so many that it feels like plinko
- Each hole presents multiple routes to choose between. I really like this. Two different styles may play each hole entirely differently.
- Relatively difficult to lose...
Hey, you're preaching to the choir, here ;)
Thanks for all the responses. I feel at least relatively confident that my interpretation (#2) is right.
The only way I can explain it is that I have several friends (who probably haven't read the actual rule) who believe that it is a line, not an...
Okay, I've read the rules, and gotten opinions from a couple of friends, but I want to see what you all think. The rule in question is:
803.04 Stance, Subsequent to Teeing Off
A. When the disc is released, a player must:
(2) have no supporting point contact with the marker disc or any object...
Finding discs in the snow - Tournament Edition
So, there's a series here in SE Michigan this year running up to the Discraft Great Lakes Open (Event 1 info at http://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/DGLO_Championship_Series_1_2010). I have played very little in the snow - or more specifically...
As a preamble, let me state that I am neither a) WarEagle nor b) wareagling (a verb defined as scamming for discs by claiming yours were stolen, natch).
On October 29, 2009, I arrived home from work to discover that someone had broken into my wife's and my home and stolen about $10K worth of...
I always ink mine as well, once I'm sure I'm going to keep them. I also subscribe to 80played's theory of "Even if you aren't likely to get them back with it, you sure ain't getting them back without it".
I am interested in a Polaris LS. Check my trade list at:

Let me know if there's anything you're interested in.
I also keep score for solo rounds. Last night I managed to prevent myself from cheating on a chain out for par from 6-8 feet or so. It was the most tempted I've ever been to cheat on a solo score, as it was the relatively easy hole 2, and I had just parred hole 1, which happens veeeeeery...
I am VERY interested in pre-96 stuff. Not the super-collectible things, 'cause I want to actually throw them, but let me know what you've got. Particularly the large-diameter drivers - Discraft Marauder, Innova Jaguar, Lynx, Phenix, Scorpion.
