I think the Re-usable Scorecard from the 2013 AR was THE BEST part of the package. I still use it to this day. I hope I never lose it. It's awesome

I once again suggested to DC that they include wafer LEDs in the pack with Z discs so that we could host glow events, and they said that while that won't happen this year, it's very likely in the near future!
I am really jealous every time I see someone with one of those reusable scorecards from the Ace Race, the only thing I really am slightly upset about, I'm always down to try new discs, hat will be alright but I have a big head so it might be pointless for me,
The course our AR is being held at is awesome and will be perfect,
My initial reaction after last year's Ace Race was that I wasted my time and money (okay it's not that much money but it took me 3 hours to get there so gas money). Yes I got two discs but I wasn't ever going to use them. But I found two people willing to take them (one a giveaway and one a trade) so I still got something out of it along with the other swag. And the competitive part of it was pretty mild - we were all pulling for people to get Aces and metal hits. It was a relaxed way of meeting some new folks and seeing some youngsters getting initiated and I will probably do it again this year.
This will be my 7th year TDing an AR....
There aren't many, if any, tournaments that would get me to drive 3 hours. Have you considered running a Discraft Ace Race in your area? Discraft makes it pretty easy to TD.
I bought three leftover tumblers, to make a nice set of four. Still sees regular use.
Two hours is the maximum time I will travel for DG. But more like just 30 minutes for an AceRace or similar event.
I have to travel an hour plus to get to any course. Lucky to have close enough courses to have this rule.

I don't want the hat, but they're $20 on Amazon so I bet I'll be able to trade it with someone for something.
This will be my 7th year TDing an AR. For the last 6 years I've held it at the LTC Cleveland course, which required me to invent temp tees on most holes each year (and I tended to change the layout every year so it was always a "new" AR course), but this year I decided to relocate the event to the super-short 9-hole (plus a practice basket) course at the elementary school up the road, which could suck for the disc since all holes are under 200'...but I'm also adding some new exciting twists, like a ramp in front of one of the holes so players can try an (optional) roller ace for double points (hit it and it'll count for two aces or metal hits). Gonna try a flex start, too, since people have expressed interest in that previously. The course also has nearly every basket visible from any given hole, so groups will essentially see or hear every ace that's hit on the day. I'm even considering starting a Twitter account for the event so players can Tweet me their results and every follower will know who's in the running (this would also be convenient with a flex start if players have left the event).
