Came across a nice blog article by Infinite Discs but noticed the approved molds list is sorted wrong. I wanted to know all the unique molds that were actually approved this year so I compiled the list below from the PDGA approval sheet that was just updated this past Friday.

Here is a link to the Infinite Discs article--

Disc Brand Increase
•In the history of PDGA approved discs, 48 different brands have produced discs all time.
•Within the last two years, of the 27 that have made an approved disc, 14 of those brands had never created a disc previously. Over half of the brands creating new models today, did not exist before October 2012.

Will be interesting to see how this list grows by the end of the year! Feel free to update list when new PDGA approvals come out.

Great work, Aim. I had no idea so many discs came out this year.

It's interesting that Discraft only came out with the Buzzz OS. But that one disc was probably by far and away the best seller of the year (out of the new releases).

Thanks! I find it weird that some discs like the Teebird3 and others don't go through approval. Even the newer salient molds technically just fall under Yukin and imagine there are a few other discs which the mold could have been previously approved but new named disc rereleased.

ever since i got sponsored by kastaplat my game has never been the same. great molds released this year.

also yeah discraft with only one, and DGA with only one.

diety kinda fell off the face off the earth

also thought westside woulda had more releases.

What does discraft have to make that's not already in their lineups. They come out with a new disc every year for the ace race.

Barsby was saying that they (Deity) have a few more releases coming out soon. Mentions it on the new episode of The Disc Golf Show

Vibram came out with a disc called Four20... really? Thats like Easton coming out with a bat called the syringe. How disappointing.

clumsy presentation.

...wait... i think i hear something under this bridge.

I have no idea what any of you are talking about.

On the chance that you are serious, you can do some searching here and find out what happened. Basically that name didn't go over too well and they renamed it the Solace.

I don't pay attention to anything anyone does except Innova and Discraft. They only way I trial new company discs is if I get multiples in a merch payout. I have around 1000 discs, and never heard of the Solace until ^ that post. I have an Obex and an Ibex (I won in CTPS) and about 10 putters I got in my payout from the 2011 Am Worlds. I purchased 4 x-link ridges for mountain courses 3 years ago and haven't lost any. No reason to care what Vibram does except when they do something stupid like that.
