2018 Pdga Majors, NTs, and Tour events

In golf, I think its standard practice to pay everyone who makes the cut.

Which is usually 50% of the field. It's also enough that each player should feel pretty damn comfortable traveling to the next one without fear of not having enough gas to get there.

Qualified PGA Tour players don't pay entry fees at tournaments. They pay $100 in annual member fees to the Tour and a fee to "rent" a locker at each tournament (usually ~$50 per event). All of which is more than covered by making just one cut. Last cash at a typical PGA Tour event last year earned the player enough to put him in the top 20 in earnings of PDGA players (Anthon was #20 last year at $15,000).
 
Yes, two significant differences between disc golf and golf: the amount of money involved, and that none of it is created by entry fees. So for us, for now, the comparison is more interesting than instructive.
