From coverage course looks very long and heavily wooded with quite a bit of added OB.

DFL in FPO (The Tutu) threw +30 (91) today; 1 par the rest bogeys, doubles, triples, & 1 quint. Reminds me of the DG the guy I see when I look in the mirror plays.

Sai Ananda leads at -7 after 2 rounds; Lisa Fajkus & Kat Mertsch are 1 back at -6; gonna be an entertaining Sunday.

Course talk...
I don't know about the rest of you, but pretty much all of the courses used for Pro Tour events are nothing like my local courses.
I'm talking about courses with numerous +600 foot holes, tons of OB, big water carries, etc.

The Shelton Springs FPO layout is a lot closer to courses I like to play. 11 holes under 350 feet with 6 holes under 300 feet. The 11 "short" holes average 302. Again, this is what I am used to playing and what I prefer. Most of the course length (7285') comes from the 7 holes over 500 feet. (the MPO layout is 1,000 feet longer)

Gold courses that push 10,000 feet and beyond are just crazy for 95% of "normal" players. If you play from the short tees you end up walking about 1/2 way up some of the fairways to get to the tee. :wall:

I understand the use of long gold courses for Pro Tour events, but I have very little interest in playing them myself.:D

What happened på Conrad on 18?
He had two good shots getting him to a long C2 position with a birdie look. He airmailed his first putt over the basket long, had an obstructed next putt which he again threw long over the basket. Next putt, he shanked slightly right into an obstructed position, then made that one.

I like the hedges once you get closer to the green. I've always thought something like that would be a good way of trying to make players shape upshots to the basket or try to avoid certain areas and the obstructed putt.

Do Perkins and O'Reilly put anyone else to sleep, or is it just me?

Your not alone. While Perkins has a good voice gor broadcasting, his delivery is so relaxed, it is kind of soothing. O'Reilly doesn't do anything for me.
