Brodie Smith PDGA #128378

You can definitely see the nerves a bit on his approach shots. Left at least 4 shots out there by not getting his layups and approaches closer.

That approach on 16 could cost him a place on a fun 2nd day card. .and a chance to have a better R1 than two of the highest rated players in the world

Ehh… chances are likely he will have at least one OB on the last two holes.

Shanked his FH on 17 tee but got lucky to be knocked down inbounds

Nice recovery shot to the corner.

Very nice FH to give him a chance at par. Actually got a bit of a bad break not to catch the thicker grass and be a near tap in.

...and cans the par putt. Very nice par after a total shank off the tee and catching a lucky break.

Playing with fire on 18. Just barely inbounds after nosing up his drive a bit and then just barely cleared the water on the up shot. Has a tough ish par putt.

Just left it a bit low on the uphill putt.

Brodie shooting right in the range I thought he would (64-67) He has skill, composure, and finish. He's obviously lacking experience. I hope he shut a lot of people up. Not many people shooting g a 976 in their first real tournament round. He didn't disappoint.
