[Discraft] Buzzz guide

Ahh, nothing like a day out on the course with just me and my Z buzzzSS174g. Shot better my second round with just that than I did my first and the entire bag. God I love that disc!!!

So all my buzz's are max weight 177-179. i find the flex to be the most stable. i also throw a cryztal and a z. i recently picked up some cryztal flx. i am curious as to how they compare to others. they look so nice i don't want to throw em yet. they are a bit floppier than the straight flx.

Your crystal flx will be understable like a beat version of your other buzzzes.
Brand new, it will flip up flat easily, but will still have a little fade left at the end.

that seems almost contradictory as my flex seems more stable than the cryztal which seems more stable than the z.

yes this would appear true but the FLX cryztal buzz is reviewed as an understable version i guess comparable to an SS. The FLX buzz you have should not be more overstable than either the cryztal or z plastics but it could have some breaking in still to do?

Every disc is its own. I agree with the general statement of:
Glo
Z
ESP
FLX
X
Pro D

but variances are very well known.

I have 2 cryztal flx that are more stable than my Z's.
The first orange cryztal flx was understable though.

 on point!

From other review
"...Conclusion: The Buzzz as a mold is right on the line between stable and understable. In all runs of all plastics the Buzz can fall either way. There are definetely patterns, but no sure fire way to predict if the Buzz you buy will be like the one you lost.

Most often the regular production Z Buzz is the most stable/overstable. 1st runs, 2nd FR, and Crystals all should start out stable/overstable as well. ESPs are the straightest out of the box in my experience. Everyone that I've thrown new has been a bit understable at high speeds where the Z versions have "0" high speed turn when new. The FLX buzz is the most understable, especially at high speeds...."

 One hell of a thread! I'm just starting out and any question I could've come up with about the Buzzz has been answered, and then some. I've got an Elite Z and love the way it throws but it sounds like I need to invest in a FLX as well.......

If it hasn't been said already, the newer buzzzes seem to be a fair bit more stable than the buzzzes ran in the past few years. I've gotten two brand new ones that are every bit as stable as my Glo was when it was new.

I've also noticed over the past few months that some of the early Buzzz ss's (this one in particular)fly a great deal more stable than the later runs. My friend has one exactly like this image that flies absolutely balls straight. Mine fades off to the right almost the entire flight when launched on the same line.

FLX Buzzzes have the least glide and are the fastest Buzzzes (close b/w FLX and 2FR)...They are also the most high speed understable. So if you aren't throwing them close to 300' they will probably fade the most, but if you throw them farther you will see the high speed turn and the get unpredictable. This is the best reason I can come up with for the widely different opinions of the FLX Buzzz.

For all you Buzz lovers out there I was bored at work and made some porn for you.

Enjoy!

I haven't thrown an ESP FLX to compare, but my cryztal FLX (green 180) is pretty beefy.

I have 2 cryztal flx that are more stable than my Z's.
The first orange cryztal flx was understable though.

I've heard the orange ones were strangely less stable than the greens (from someone that had both IIRC)...I didn't throw the orange one I had to verify this myself, opting to sell it 10/10 and buy another green one.

I've got a Glow FLX Buzzz coming in the mail now...I was already ordering from MSt! So I figured why not save on shipping.... :D

i got a Glo FLX today. and OMG it feels awesomeeee! if you like floppy soft flxy goodness you're in for a treat

I can confirm that the orange cryZtal flx buzzzes are less stable than you would expect. The two that I had were pretty close to my SS in stability, actually.
