Classic Review lines

TVK had me laughing out loud at work with this gem regarding Landings Park in Coeur d'Alene, ID:

"So I guess you could call this a 9 hole course if you played the circuit three times around. If you played it six times, would that make it an 18 hole course? Or would it make you an idiot?"

That got a good laugh from me.

How many times have we found ourselves saying "Well that course was bad......want to play another round?" Or is that just me?

Lol I'm guilty of that for sure. I mean hey, you're there already, right?

Lulz.

As far as I know, Westside the only Schusterick designed course I've played, but it was pretty good.

I didn't review it, but think it's a 4.0.

there are a couple other courses Will is associated with in the NW Georgia area. The Pasture DGC and Trion DGC are both 2.5 courses to many TRs. To be fair, a world class designer would have struggled to achieve a 3.5 on these properties.

a quote i found on the inferior course review website regarding Hop Spring Beer Park. The guy gave the Will Schusterick designed course a 0.5 rating. Other than Westside, i really don't care for any of the courses his name is associated with.

"First off, why in the heck would someone layout a championship length course for a Brewpub!?!" - wellsbranch250, from the review of Hop Springs Beer Park last year.

^That's the biggest issue for me. I really think they should have opted for a fun, laid-back, well-designed 9-hole course instead of trying to shoehorn an advanced-distance 18-hole layout with several unobstructed Par 4s and 5s onto the property. Considering the struggles they have with course maintenance and other structures on the property (hello concert stage), a smaller layout may be in the owner's best interest.

Not sure if this should be posted here or in the Bad/Homer Review thread but I definitely laughed a couple times reading Rocaholic74's review of Muhlenberg College -

Middle aged man reminiscing about his fraternity days, lids, cases of beer, and a mean old dean. Is it this man?

I was thinking about quoting this review on this thread or the bad/homer as well. obviously didnt do either, but glad you took the time to do so.

when i read it yesterday, the first movie that came to mind was PCU, and this was Droz's review of the course.
