[Innova] Dart Fans Post Here!

...I thought the Voodoo would be a cool putter till I threw one. I didn't like it at all.
I thought the same thing about a soft banger GT I just bought. It felt great in the hand but didnt putt very well for me (too overstable). Didn't like it for putting so I'm going to try it for upshots :(

I have trouble with my Dart bouncing off the right side of the chains to the ground, where my Soft GT Banger or Pro Rhyno will grab the chains and drop in. Its like too rubbery and springy for putting, but I might like it for approaches though.

My guess is that would be because of the fade at the end. The rhyno is fading left harder at the end where the Dart is staying straighter. That assumes that you aren't throwing so hard that there is no fade. I cannot comment on the Soft GT Banger

Seems like the Dart and the Aero have a similar flight rating. Whats the difference in these two discs?

I think the Dart goes farther then the aero does with a simular throw. The Aero is cool when it lands on dirt or gravel because it tends to slide straight away from you. I think the Aero can hold a little anny better than the dart. But the Dart is awesome when Fade can go out of bounds... It Just doesn't fade. At the end of the throw it kind of dives away. Both discs are great for approaches, but my Aero is now staying at home and I am carrying 2 darts, because I am using it whenever there is danger to the left of the hole.

It has replaced the birdies I was putting with. I feel a lot more comfortable with my 20-40 footers and it works a lot better for 125-175 approaches too.

I agree that it doesn't fade much. If you put too much OAT on it and turn it (or purposely throw it anhyzer) it ain't coming back.

I gotta get out and throw this thing once I see some decent weather, which might not be until Monday. There's only so much room to throw it in the apartment.

I see using this mostly as an approach disc from 200 in. I'll stick with my Aviars to finish the job. I'm gonna get some of those in R-Pro pretty soon.

Got to finally throw my Dart yesterday and although I like the grippy feel of the R-Pro plastic, I'm not terribly impressed. It's sort of reminding me the reason I got away from soft P&A discs. Granted the 10-20 MPH wind wasn't any help, but that kind of breeze is a standard day around here.

Word.

R-Pro Dart

Just picked on up this morning and threw it at the basket in my yard. It has a lot of glide, much more than I am used to with my Star Aviar P&A. Where I was struggling with 40 ft putts I can get to the basket with no problem with the Dart. It has a little more fade than I expected so you have to aim a little more left or just throw it really hard, straight at the chains. This is a definite buy.

Mine just came in the mail today...dammit, I'm still at work and it is beautiful outside. :|

Tomorrow I'll throw a few rounds with it and see how it compares to the Aviar and Roc I normally use.

Great site by the way -- my first post here.

I usually don't rave about discs...but I just picked up a dart and love it. I usually putt with my pro aviar, but the dart has become a contender. It will hold any line you put on it. I've been using it off the tee at a local pitch and putt course and I have to say im really impressed. Basically if you like the aviar pick up a dart and it'll extend your usual aviar range.

I just threw about 20 from 100 feet and in as practice in the back yard.

My first impression was 'God, there's *no* fade at all', followed quickly by 'Man this thing goes dead straight'.

I completely agree with your assessment about the Aviar-like flight. If my previous confidence zone with the Aviar was 50 feet and in, it's significantly longer with the Dart. I haven't even played a round yet but I really like it already.

I know I have already posted that I loved it before, but once I got out on the course and exerienced so different elevations and angles, I am not a huge fan anymore. If you hit the top of the chains it bounces off. It also stand up and rolls on any slope. I still like it for long putts but its not my number one putter.

I played 3 rounds with it yesterday. It's a great disc but after putting with a Roc for so long I'll have to get used to the way it throws. I must have been right of the basket (due to the lack of fade) at least 5 times. I made a 100 foot putt with the Roc that there's no way I would have made with the Dart.

I like it, don't get me wrong. It's just a lot different than what I'm used to. It will take over for short-medium range Aviar shots for me.

Sdecker, I had to do a double take when I first saw your avatar. Look at it real fast and it looks like something very naughty. Like a 70's porno.

i bought two (back to the dart) and immediately liked the stickyness of the plastic. it increased my confidence range as well. sdecker, if you're hitting 100 ft putts with anything, why fix it? it's not broken.

so did i biker.. so did i..

:)

It's an inside joke. Me and my buddies 'from time to time' will take a bottle of Crown out to the course and do a little sippy-sippy. Somehow or another the brown bagged bottle got the name 'Wilson'. So I found a Wilson avatar...but you're right, it does look a little unusual now that I look at it.

It's an older thread but I thought I'd chime in. I just picked one up today and played 3 courses with it. I'm not a great putter by any means but it did about everything I wanted. I'm used to warlocks and I'm slowly getting better, but for today I enjoyed every putt I took with my dart.

I love the plastic, my only issue is I had about 4 great putts that bounced out in some way, and I'm blaming some of it on the plastic. Super bouncy.

I think I'll get another one, so I'll have 2 darts and 2 warlocks.

Got one a couple of weeks ago and haven't been able to play much lately, but I did take it out this weekend and played everything inside of 150' or so with it just to get accustomed to it and see how it does. Hit one shot from somewhere between 100 and 120 ft on Hole 6 at ERP, and parked several more right under the basket. Me likey.
