I'm surprised that granddaddy Oak Grove wasn't on the list for 70s courses. It's nice to see Coyote Point on the top-10 for open courses.

I thought Idlewild was open either 1998 or 1999? Tyler should probably be on the top wooded course list but maybe it hasn't been coded with enough trees? I would have thought Patapsco, Seneca, Nockamixon, Renny, Blue Ribbon or Steady Ed might have also made the wooded list.

Apparently this is a user driven site and some of those u mentioned my be mislabeled Chuck...very good point though.

I have played Tyler numerous times....they don't get more wooded than that one so I felt comfortable making the data change!

I have played 5 of top 10 worst courses. I imagine me using the full rating scale and unleashing a few zero disc ratings (D & D- grades) contributed.

I am REALLY surprised to see Pendleton King included on the list. It is NOT a bad course.

Oh.....after looking at things a little more, the issue is the 10 review min. Looks like tons of bad courses do not have reviews written. With 5+ reviews, Pendleton King is #63 from the bottom and with 2+ reviews it is #226. (Yet another reason to allow players with 50+ or so courses played to enter their ratings list without having to do reviews).

Yeah its the bottom 10 documented courses I'm sure there are far worse undocumented out there!
I was amazed that an 18 concrete tee course BULL RUN was the 3rd worst...that is a shame!

"The Farm @ Founders Sports Park" in Farmington Hills, MI does not belong in the top 10 worst courses!!

I've played a few courses just in Michigan that are worse. It's a hard course to play, with a couple intense water hazards and some needle threading holes. But it has 9 baskets and brings a challenge to anyone who plays its. NO WAY, is it a national top 10 worst course.

And as far as the best 9 holers go. It's kind of lame to put in three courses from the same park in. I would have to say that "Bandemer Park" in Ann Arbor, MI deserves a vote in that category.

I thought 3 9 holers in the same park was cheesey also but Ive never been there...perhaps they are different areas of park or are they next to one another?

Nope I call BS as well...this map looks like it could be one massive 36 hole monster or 2 very good 18s but instead its 4 9 holers! I thought it was fishy as well...but I am sure theres a reason for it being listed this way?

Could Golden Gate Park be considered for top woods courses? It is one of the best i've played.

According to this site it's not heavily wooded and it's 3.9 I think the 10th slot has a 4.26...but it's now in my wish list...much like some other courses it gets dragged down by a few reviews

Cool stuff, thanks for putting that together! It's interesting to see where some of the courses I've played fit into those lists.

I love seeing some love for The Curtain, though I think it should be in the top wooded courses as well.

You would think the curtain would be up there for tops in the woods course. I mean, it's a course in the redwoods!

However, I guess not enough people getting up to Humboldt to give positive feedback... and with the curtain lacking signs, it's hard to navigate for traveler players and gets dinged a lot. But, it is better than most other wooded courses I've played.
