btw, it gets pretty easy to break discs down like that.

"best" overstable disc:
most high speed stable + predictable moderate to heavy fade + penetration charactersitics + distance, with the other factors primary concern.

"best" understable disc:
turns over predictably + little propensity to fade + avoidance of "overturn" + distance with the other factors the primary concern.

btw, i still believe the best understable discs = beat up stable to slightly understable discs. something like a beat 175g dx valkyrie pretty much wins out over anything "out of the box" understable.

clear cut winner = dx teebird. there isn't another disc out there that is as high speed stable, with that little low speed fade, and carries that far while being throwable by someone w/ 225'+ power.

meh....I generally take the advice the knowledge players give in here to heart. Because they have all been down the road before me, and there is no reason to make this game harder than it has to be. So of course I bought the DX Tbird.....and I didnt like it. This could of course be due to this specific run of DX Tbirds. Granted it was very straight, but I had to really rip it to get it to fly. The Solf is just as straight for me and considerably longer whil being easier to throw. And the Tbird has this very long fade portion thats at least 30% of its flight. Its not a huge left turn, but it fades for a long time. Now I havent thrown it for a while, so I might just bring it out again to try it out. But as of right now, I prefer the SOLF a hundred fold as straight and distance driver to the Teebird.

factor of nose angle, power, and breaking it in.

on a 20' high nose down line drive a teebird will only fade like 20-25'.

with a disc like a wraith on a 20' high nose down line drive (with under 450' of power), it will fade like 60-80'.
