If You Could Only Carry 5 Discs - Which Do you Choose and Why?

Putter: DD Lucid Warden
Approach: Westside VIP Harp
Stable: Innova Star Eagle-X
Overstable: Discmania C-Line FD3
Driver: Discraft Z Thrasher

Well for fun...

Ohm
Envy
Relay
Tesla
Wave

Wish I could slip a comet in but not this month. And that's actually my whole bag, with multiples.. Haha

Pretty sure I could roll with this setup pretty easily! Matrix crave and wave are all in my "5" anyways.

Generally 2-3 of the 5-7 molds in my bag are on rotation in and out. If I were filling out today:

FR Neutron Matrix - I don't like traditional mids - hate both the Roc and Buzzz. This run of the Matrix has a low rim profile with a pop top - makes it both fast and glidey. I've got a stockpile cause I've managed to lose a few. It blasts. :p It's the one disc I've had in the rig for several years.

Neutron Wave - knocked the Inertia out of the rig. I was struggling to keep the inertia from turning out. Wave is just that tic faster to prevent that.

Neutron Entropy - this knocked the Deflector, Resistor, and Envy out of my rig.

Neutron Servo / Crave - they are so close. I could throw either. Teebird vs. Teebird-L for me.

I just added:

Neutron Atom - It's OOP - darn it. Really dig it.

Electron Envy

Big Z Buzzz

Neutron Crave

Fission Tesla

Cosmic Neutron Wave

MVP Wave as well for me
Prodigy FX-2
MVP Volt
DGA Rift (essentially a Buzzz)
and my trusty Wizard with a Jordan logo stamp

EDIT: Dang! Lots of MVP throwers ITT. I never see anyone else with them on the course. I could have made all five MVP/Axiom but decided to go for some variety.

-K3 Reko for putting, approach and short straight tee shots
-K3 Berg for all short forehand approaches and tee shots
-C-line MD3 versatile mid holds any line it's put on
-Neo Essence straight to understable distance shots powers down nicely too
-K1 Grym straight distance driver or powered down fairway hyzers.

I'm still a novice, but here is what I would use at this moment in time:

Dynamic Discs Slammer for my putting needs
Dynamic Discs Breakout for RHBH drives
Innova Star Eagle for forehand drives
Gateway Element mid
Discraft Zone for approach and longer putts

... and after a lot of practice and a lot more rounds... here are my changes.

Discraft Hades
Mint Profit
Streamline Lift
Prodigy A3
Dynamic Discs EMAC Truth

I know I've answered this at some point, but I think it's evolved:

I think the same thing every time this thread gets bumped. Today it's:

R-Pro Rhyno - Putt and Approach
DX Stingray - US Mid
XT Roc - S Mid
Star Caiman - OS Mid
Pro Valk - All driving duties

Mine changes from season to season, so here's my 2021 version:

QOLF - slightly overstable for FH/BH
Neutron Crave - stable/workable fairway
MJ Z Comet - jack of all trades midrange
SP Breaker - overstable approach/driving putter
Soft Pilot - putts/straighter approaches

Last edited:
Classic Blend Judge - putting, approaches, short drives
Z Wasp - wind and low ceiling approaches, mid-range duties
DX Teebird - workhorse
400 plastic F2 - more stability than the 'bird,
Opto Air Ballista - long drives

For me it varies, so If I have already answered this, disregard my previous post.
