Searched the forums and didn't see where anyone had posted this yet...looks pretty cool.

Not sure if this "theatrical release" will be worldwide (filmmakers are from Berlin, Germany), nationwide, or limited release. Maybe this doesn't belong in the General DG forum, but I'll start it off here and let the Andrew-Jacksonesque mods push it onto whatever reservation they decide it belongs in.

The Invisible String

There will be a screening of this in Ventura this Thursday.

7:30 at the Century 10.
$10.
Proceeds go to the American Red Cross.

"Fisbee make us happy, gives us pure energy. So... we need Frisbee spirit. Its a fundamental of life."

if you have to ask, you'll never know

Says: When Liza and Jeremy run to their mother during a scary storm, she comforts them by telling them about the Invisible String, which connects people who love each other no matter where they are and means that they are never alone.

The first feature length documentary about the fascinating love story between men and flying plastic. With rare archive footage, amazing personal accounts of Frisbee legends, and today's hot spots, THE INVISIBLE STRING is an entertaining journey into the spirit of a whole era and the joy of play!

Ahhh it's a love story.

Dig it.

Now you've got it. It refers to the invisible string of love between throwers and discs.
Love Baby, that's what it is all about.
Pure, sweet, hot love.
Disc style.
Yeah.

When you hit that perfect line, and you know you hit it, and the disc is flying where you want it to be, and everything around you fades into obscurity but the disc, its line, and maybe the basket in the background, that, THAT is the invisible string. Quantum mechanics describes this state as "entangled". Once you have a taste, you want MORE...

It is whatever you want it to be... all things to all people.

or not. :\

Fred Morrison originated the phrase when he was trying to sell the early frisbees. He would tell folks the disc was free but the invisible string was a penny a foot and came in lots of 100'.
