I'll be in Vegas from Dec 11th till the 15th. I am going for my buddies 30th birthday on 12-12-12. My gf was supposed to go with me but she couldn't get off work so I am hoping to make it into a DG trip. I was hoping to get in 3-4 rounds while I'm there. I have read enough about Mtn Crest and Sunset to know that I'll play them but am not overly excited. I'll also try and hit up peccole ranch and paseo verde while I'm there.

I'm assuming that Mt. Charleston will be unplayable due to snow, am I correct?

Anywhere else that I should plan on playing in the winter in Vegas?

The casinos.

FWIW, I skipped Sunset when I was there in Sept. Peccole was unique, but navigation was not easy. Mt Charleston was easily the best Vegas-area course I played during my visit.

Have fun out there!

Sunset Mountain Crest and Red Ridge were cool. I would not go back to Peccole.

Also... if you like beer... the Chicago Brewing Company is awesome. Very good beer and great food. It's near Mountain Crest / Peccole Ranch.

I'd imagine anything in the city part of Vegas (i.e. not up the mountain on a ski resort) would be open for play.

I just came back from Vegas a few weeks ago, and was able to get in a couple of courses - Cason's Davis park (which was fun, but it has it's issues) and Mountain Crest Park (which I really loved!), passed on Peccole Ranch because it was really windy and didn't want to risk putting my entire bag into all of the neighbors back yards. It was cold and lightly snowing off and on at Mt Charleston, so I don't think the weather has gotten any better since.

I'm going to be in Vegas from the 27th till late on the first.
Any locals up for a round at sunset? Pm me

Heading out Tues, looks like the weather will be nice! I'm staying at the Wyndham resort. If there are any locals who want to go play, let me know. I'll provide beer and gas money!

Are you leaving ON the 15th? The local club is having a charity tourney on the 15th at Sunset park, complete with a swap meet, ring of fire, food etc. The flyer is here
