[Innova] Eagle Enthusiasm

Wow thats nice...

I'd love one of the champy KC Pros but I'm not paying the prices people are asking for them right now.....

I want a champy KC Pro Eagle-X so bad it hurts... I have plenty of standard 11x Champs, but for some reason that KC Pro stamp gives me all the feels when I own one...

Me TOO!! If anyone wants to sell or trade a 10X KC Pro Eagle X-Mold (Champy) LET ME KNOW!
I'll pay a fair price or trade some nice OOP/CE for one.

Found a 8/10 KC Pro 10x in my basement earlier this year. Stopped carrying it because people see it and start to lowball me as if I didnt know what it is. I throw my beat DX Eagle instead. Great disc I like it a lot!

I have heard from a few people that L's are no more. Makes me sad a little as it was my first disc that wasnt in the starter set I got to start out.

There are still stores with them, I would buy a few backups unless you want to switch to x's, personally I am just gonna give the x's a shot.

Have you tried the Rival yet? I just picked up a couple Legend (gold line like) Rivals that I could see beating in to fill my EL slot. I'd go with a light weight rival as the heavier ones I got are starting off as a seasoned eagle-x. I've got a beat ce eagle-x in my sale thread that I'm letting go now that I'm planning on the Rival to fill that spot if I lose my EL.

Currently I bag:
fresh CE Eagle-x = mini firebird; kills the wind; spikes; skips
seasoned ce eagle-x = stable straight shots into 10-15mph headwinds w/o fade
(insert new Legend Rival here)
lightly seasoned glow EL = stable shots in the woods with hefty later fade; hyzer fip to turnovers with some fade for distances over 325'

Does anybody use the eagle as their go to driver vs 10-11 speed discs?

for a very long time I did, flick, bh, everything. A champ eagle that had a nasty slice after hitting a tree the first time I used it. Now I use it for dead straight shots and I still can trust it to do anything I want.

Yup!

Most tees I approach with an Opto pure, a Wasp, and an Eagle in my hand and judge it by wind, how I am feeling on that hole that particular day. If I can't reach it with an Eagle than it is usually a Trespass. But the Eagle is definitely my go-to driver. Got 1 beat to understable, one seasoned, and 1 circle stamp beefcake in my bag at all times.

The other discs in my bag still see a fair amount of play, but I always WANT to tee with one of my bread and butter molds.

Still find my Fuse, Drone, River, and Pred to be indispensable to my game, but to a lesser degree.. Giant ehhh I could live without. (and actually haven't been carrying it of late)

Awesome! im going to drop the avenger then it doesn't do anything spectacular it is a solid mold and because I LOVE EAGLES!....whew there I said it. I don't think there is a disc I have as much confidence in as my Eagles.

Feels good to get if off your chest, doesn't it? It's okay, Eagle X's are great, there is no shame in it. If they were still bagged i'd have at least 3 of those bad boys in there, you know what i mean.

ps: you can see the pds in the sig below, so i'll add as a disclaimer that it's just because i'm lazy.

I notice that champion eagles seem to be the favorite choice of most of the posts in this thread. Is there a reason I am not seeing star eagles?

I like both. Champ generally start out with more resistance to turn and hold that stable flight longer. Stars turn a little more out of the box and some people don't like that. I throw my star Eagle for most shots and break out the champ when I need more stability.

Now that I am back on the EagleX wagon, I have a few questions. Is there going to be another run of the champion dx stamped eagle? Is the eagle being run in the jolly launcher plastic right now? Is it even worth trying to get 11x Eagle X's in heavy weights? What is the next best type of production eagleX to the 11x? Thanks to all for any info!

what do you want them for? more OS? cycling?

I prefer the 170 DX. they're good out to 325-350 for me FH, don't turn in the wind, beat in to dead straight, then into a perfect turnover disc or long sweeping anhyzer. If you can find the older, stiffer, non waxy DX, those are the best. a lot of the new DX stuff is just weird feeling.

i have a 175 star and its just a bit too OS for what I want it for. I never seem to need that sort of stabiliy between my FB and a fresher DX

i also like DX b/c i can throw them on water holes, know exactly how they'll fly, and if I lose it, no big deal, $7 and a month or two later I'll have another just like it. compared with star, I gotta use it for a year and be hesitant throwing it on risky holes.

I'm looking for a fairway driver work easy flex lines with. I live in Charlotte, NC so I tend to throw tighter lines and I rarely through a distance driver off of the tee. My Fairway Drivers go 300-330 ft, Midranges up to 300 ft. I currently carry:

Star Leopard (way beat in, turnover disc)
Star Leopard (slightly beat, slight hyzer flip to dead straight)
Star TL (way beat it, slight anhyzers or flex lines but needs lots height to fade out or finish S)
Star TL (slight beat, dead straight with slight fade finish)
Champ Glow Teebird (slightly beat, dead straight then healthy fade)

I'm wanting the beef up my flex line capabilities. I am looking for a fairway driver that will flex when thrown flat with 300-330 ft of power. My really beat in Star TL will be it needs to be thrown high (25' or so) to get a full fade/finish on it. Would a Eagle fit that bill? Most of the flight descriptions show some turn and then a healthy fade. Is so, what plastic do you recommend?

An Eagle would probably need a little anhyzer to flex. It's not going to turn much from flat.
