How'd you get the white skull on a blue disc? Both look great, by the way

The skull is blue. Since I am not using my lightbox and taking the pic from my iphone I had to tweak the white balance a bit.

Thanks for the compliment. Here is today's addition. My buddy thinks red birds are lucky(one flew by him on the way to casino and he cashed out $2400) so I took one of his discs. This is a star stingray. Nothing special about the disc, just wanted to be nice and like so many others get my art flying.

had that guy in black for 1hr 45min at ~135 degrees :gross: Also found out this morning that MVP is no longer making opaque Ions, at least for the time being but probably forever!

That clear Ion ended up looking great. I love the tree design and coloring. I left MVP a facebook comment about the white Ions being great for dyeing, as they asked to see Ion dyes. Captain Indica is just pure class. Maybe you should have rippled the circles on it though, like a stoner.

I think it does look good but I wanted the whole tree black, was gonna do the leaves all technicolor but was so disappointed I just did 'em red.

It still looks great! It seems like there is a brown tint to the tree it's self that looks natural and pretty sharp. The capt. one I get the idea of making the lines wavy but I think it would of always required explaining, but nice work dan, nice crisp line it looks great as always.

Edit: Just noticed this. Did you marble the blue, if not it's a nice touch anyway, very subtle but looks great.

Thx LX, the capt is a biyatch, everybody oughta try one once . The blue wasn't marbled it took me 3 tries to get the remask right, thats just multiple laying on and taking off the vinyl. The tree looks nice enough but I'm just really disappointed in MVP, they've qone from my most favorite to my least in about 16hrs.

honestly I hadn't even read anything where they changed, glad I havn't gotten my hands on a ion yet, but I've been loving the Lat 64 recently. The plastic is so nice to start with it makes me want to step up my game just to do it justice.

As far as the capt. goes I had a local ask me to do it and I got excited because I hadn't yet and I want to, but I haven't seen him since and that was like 3 weeks ago (I don't know about you all but I get that a lot).

Talked with the sales rep this morning, opaque Ions are OOP. I got the last blank white med's above 166g, 169 was the max. There's still some of the lighter ones left but not many. Hence the bad attitude, most know how I feel about Ions.

Mr. Boulevard had calmed me down tho and I will apologize for whining. I got lucky tonite, both of my problem children turned out nice enough, I should never complain when posting a nice disc.

This is my 5+ color dye. :thmbup: I got 18 new colors most of them oop from the dye lady (thanks LoPan. :hfive I needed to see what they looked like so here is my tester disc. There are a total of 25 different colors on this disc. I wish I could get my camera to get a good picture, but I think the light is wrong. And I'm too tired to try and get it to work. Hopefully I can get a good picture up tomorrow.

Dan, I'm not completely understanding you on the clear Ions, are you saying it took over an hour and a high temp to get the disc to take the black dye?

I'm saying that after 1 1/2 hrs and high temp some parts were just a kind of light brown, some parts were black. Same with the red except it was 45 min, some parts are red some are orange. Lucky for me I was doing a tree, anything else and it would have been ruined. I doubt that I'll dye another clear Ion.

I don't remask. That was painted on. Once you've seen a few painted dyes you can tell. Painting will give you a grainy look on some colors. It's a neat effect. But a little different than you would get if you dipped it.

3M Vinyl

Last December, I jumped on the 3M free vinyl offer. I thought about giving dying a try. I recieved a roll of the IJ180Cv3-10 and a roll of the IJ380Cv3. As it happens, I never tried dying, so I am looking to move two unused rolls of Vinyl either for Cash or Trade. I am not sure how much shipping will run.

Orange, Lemon Yellow, Golden Yellow, Sunshine Orange, Tangerine, Wine, Scarlet, (The blues) Light Blue, Aquamarine, Evening Blue, Royal Blue, (The greens) Light Green, Mint Green, Kelly Green, Dark Green, (The Pinks) Sea Coral, Fuchsia, Mauve, Old Rose, (The Purples) Purple, Amethyst. Plum, Orchid. Plum may be the darkest color I've ever seen. It's darker than the black. Black for the border and golden yellow and teal in the marbling. Here it is on a Gold Line Havoc.
