Well I don't allow the firms to touch wooded course but I prefer to drive with them over the mediums. Feels better, some have this really nice gritty and tacky texture. I keep both in the bag though, putting putters are firm, sometimes drive off the tee if I'm trying to get an ace with one I particularly like. Mediums and softs rule the forest, nothing better than seeing a disc hit the edge of a tree and roll off and continue toward the target, I just don't get that from plastic.
Hmm... You don't think the firm will handle the woods?
That's the opposite of me, I love putting with my medium Ridge, feels a lot like a more comfortable Soft focus, granted I don't think I've ever putted with a firm disc.
I just don't want to risk their stability that's why I keep two of almost everything, fresh flight and broken in flight. I putted with a medium ridge for about 2 years, but I got 2 firms from the Birdie bash that had the greatest texture and now the white one is my main putter, along with my half n half VO ridge.
