I will also be revisiting Pier Park, MiloMcIver, Timber Park and the Redwood Curtain. Am I missing anything important?

That looks pretty solid to me. Looks like a fun trip. Have fun. :)

Absolutely not!

Actually, I'd think Riverfront Park in Roseburg could be forgone but it is right in town and near I-5, so yeah, play it too. Good choices actually.

I haven't played any of the CA ones but some of the Oregon ones aren't need to play. If you have any time issues I would skip Waterloo. Waterloo is fun but brushy and it takes a long time to play because navigation isn't the best in the world. Solid list but now that I'm thinking about it you could add Dabney if you have time, just make sure your valuables are locked up and nothing is showing in your car.

I'd skip:

Dallas - tiny
The short course at Horning's Hideout

Dallas is a very unique course and it is quite fun. No it isn't a 5 but I think everyone should play it at least once.

The short course at Horning's is the best pitch and putt I've ever seen and it only takes an hour if you play fast. Besides he'll be right there if he is playing the other two.

I've played Dabney a couple of times already. Good course, but I'm really trying to hit places I haven't played before, with a few noteable exceptions.

go play haag lake, also when your out in estacada drive over to rooster rock and play the east course

:gross: I disagree completely with this entire post.

i would understand if i had said go play the gresham city park or hoover park in newberg but theres nothing wrong with rooster rock east or haag lake (other than poor marking at haag lake), both courses are on some really scenic property and present thier own challenges, but hey, what would i know, i only lived in the portland area for about 6 years and played all those courses many many times...

I would much rather go and play Herbert Hoover and Ewing Young (less than a mile from each other) than play Hagg lake or Rooster Rock East/West. Personal preference I suppose. Hagg is a disaster of course, there is so much potential and good land out there and what they have is kind of a joke. Not trying to start a flame war this is just my opinion.

The Redwood Curtain is a must when you come through Humboldt, but it looks like you have played it before. You might try playing Birds of Paridise neer Miranda, CA when you come thorugh. It is the best course on this site that almost no one has played. If you let me know when you are coming through I could probably hook you up with a round out there. Let me know one way or another when you are coming through and I'll try to show you around some unlisted courses that you can add to your personal list.

I'm currently planning on being in the Humboldt area on Sunday 9/11, but I'm going to try and play with a buddy that just moved there from Tahoe. Birds of Paradise might have to wait for another trip as my time is going to be bit limited that day.
