If I recall correctly, delaveagabeast said he had to pay shipping to send it to you guys, even though that should have been covered by the warranty. I would imagine you could help him by refunding some shipping costs, unless I understood him wrong.
So 50-100 bags out of 1000 are expected to be defective? I really hope that number can come down, because that is huge when you look at it from an actual number of bags standpoint. Yowza. I wouldn't like my odds if I were purchasing, personally.
Our warranty policy on the website states that the customer pays shipping to salient and then we pay to send it back to the customer.
As for the second part of your post I talked about the changes we are making above we have changed manufacturers because we are not happy with the quality the old manufacturer produced. The defect rate was too high for any company new or old. The change in company will bring this number down a lot. As I said being perfect is impossible but we will strive to be as perfect as possible. The 5-10% is not acceptable to us. Granted that does not change the past but we can only focus on the future.
