Nominate a 'World's Best Disc Golf Hole'

#14 at warrior's path is probably my favorite hole. it's not particularly difficult or epic (aside from the water OB) but something about it just makes me feel good.

I have never seen water in there. I think the hole before that one is WAY better though!!!!

are you talking about this one? this was my favorite at that park.

i got the very first set of "great disc golf holes of the world" discs...
they're not mine... they are a buddy of mine, we looked through all his old discs and thats a group of bada$$ hot stamps, actually has the hole itself stamped on top of disc, very unique and very sweet

wish i had an easy way to upload pics, takes forever with my DSL

i have a full set of them i wouldn't mind unloading if anyone's interested.

No way it can be the Worlds Best Hole if the par isn't correct. ;) Par 4 max for a 621 downhill hole like that. Route looks challenging though.

Haven't seen that hole but #1 on Waterworks in KC is widely considered one of the best opening holes in the world.
It definitely sets the tone for playing that course, but I've never really found #1 there to be that hard. I've seen pros deuce it quite often.

This pic sort of flattens out just how steep of a drop it is. I'd say its at least a 35 degree grade downhill.

The "best" hole doesn't necessarily have to be the hardest hole or longest hole. It should have good scoring spread and WW1 does have that. But Winthrop 5 is still better than WW1.

if we are going for the hole with the best scoring spread, then Winthrop's #5 isn't even the 2nd best hole on that course. 17 and 13 have much bigger spreads than 5. especially 17. there were plenty of 2's on 17, and someone else carded a 13 this year at the USDGC.

Hole 9 at the woodshed in west virginia is one amazing hole that needs pictures or video footage but I can't find any anywhere of this hole......It's the one from one side of a deep gorge over and up to the other side.....huge wooded fairway just by far the best woods course on the site and one of the best I have seen/played.

Disqualified for crossing another fairway (8).

Scoring spread is one of several aspects of the "best" hole, not the only one. I can get good scoring spread, but not "fairly" produced, just by going in the woods, placing basket there with a tee on the outside and say, "Find your way to the basket however you can." :) Could be the toughest "hole" in the world with great spread in both scoring and the multiple "routes" to get there. Wintrhop hole 13 and 17 aren't in the same league as hole 5 outside of scoring spread.

Totally made a mistake I meant Hole 9 whipping post
Disqualified for no fairway after crossing the gorge (unless that's changed). I was also thinking that was hole 10 or 11 you were describing, not 9?

I played the whipping post summer 2009 over the gorge and that fairway seemed more open than other paw paw holes....so while not a traditional fairway I would say there is a fairway unlike many of the other comical "fairways" on those courses. Really a spectacular play IMO but again maybe after all those poking thru the trees holes maybe it looked like a tree lined fairway...you have to admit the tee over the gorge is amazing and the spreads on that hole have to be quite large and fair and not induced by tree trouble like the other holes.
