These are photos I came across of basket abuse. It's all cute and funny until the park says, "we can't afford $400 every time a basket breaks"

If you see yourself or someone you know, you may be a douche. Exhibit C:

In defense of these people, they are not trying to destroy the baskets. I think people that do things like this think that the a metal basket can support their weight and they just want a cute picture. It's more ignorance than being a dbag. I think the destruction and broken baskets rarely, if ever, come from these types of pics. to break those bolts you have to really try.

I did find another pic of an offender though. :D

those are portable baskets, most likely his own.

I figured he was a disc golfer involved with setting up a course. So he would be the one replacing the basket if he broke it anyone.

I am on a rant because I went to a few courses and signs are torn down, baskets are tilted and in one case one of the baskets was used as a grill, still filled with foil and charcoal.

I'll post a light hearted thread next time

We had the grill epidemic here, too. Even made t-shirts with a slash through some guy grilling on a basket. F'n hilarious, man.

This one needs a spanking. I'll teach her.

I don't mean to undermine your frustration with course vandelism at all, quite the opposite really. I hate when people destroy things on a course for no damn reason. I just think that in this case your anger is misguided. It takes alot of effort to try and rip a basket from the ground and have it tilt. Much more effort than two girls chilling in a basket are willing to give, I'm assuming.

The freaking faggots that rip down sings and rip up targets deserve every bit of hate and anger you muster, though.

I think it's more of an education thing with these people than anything. Especially with the grills. Some people actually think that is what they are.

Theres a course by my house that had 18 baskets ten years ago, about 13-15 of them were stolen or vandalized, the course went to poles after that, now theyre trying to fund raise and get baskets put back in. I think history is bound to repeat itself unless some club or entitiy watches and protects the park. I dont see that happening and its too bad for the park and its locals.

Some guys were selling posters of that chick in the VIP parking lot at the USDGCs. They had it cropped so you couldn't see she was standing on a basket though.
