[Gateway] Wizard plastics

I probably won't run out and get 10, but with the way I just went at my practice basket tonight I might. (Though it was my poor form being the problem). There's like a 60% chance I go buy one in the next 2 days.

Biggest favor you can do for your game is getting a practice basket, and you are there. Next biggest favor you can do for your game is filling it with 5 or so of the same putters and just committing. Plus, you can call Gateway and they will mail you five or more at really deep discounts.

I think part of what he was saying is that you might not be able to find another one just like the one you bought.

Nah. I don't believe that they all have to feel exactly the same. Heck, I have 5-6 different blends in my practice basket. I even have a g25 (1 year in my bag) and a OGSS (2.5 years in my bag) that are my two go-tos. They each have their uses and they each get used every round.

Right on, my putting putters need to be the same.

Throwers don't really matter as much.

Well, I gave in. I'll go toss them around when my daughter goes to bed.

Ps: I hate uploading pictures to this site. It rotates them however it sees fit. And never correctly.

I'm glad I bought these discs.

Before today I'd have said electron plastic is super grippy on the hands. After tossing a wizard around the my atom feels slick. My fingers never once slipped on either wizard, I actually like the raised lettering on the bottom to keep the disc from moving as well. I was able to out more on my putts.

I missed low a lot, but that was bad push offs. It was dead straight in the circle, slight, but predictable fade outside.

Upshots 150-175ft this thing is laser straight when thrown flat. Slight hyzer and it finishes with a little fade. Little bigger hyzer and it dis exactly what I wanted. Anhyzer line? Holds it to the ground. Slight anhyzer line, thrown high, and I got a iddy bitty flex out of it.

The two bads I found in them, forehand and driving. Mind you my fh is below average. I'd go so far as to say horrible with all putters, but this one was worse than all. Until I can improve thay part of my game I won't be FHING wizards. Driving was meh. Have to hyzer flip them and it just felt wrong power gripping these. It's the deeper dish I don't like for it. My envy will continue to get my driving putter duties.

Another wizard fan is born.

@davidrboy when I'm ready to buy more I will do that. Thanks for the tip.

I agree with you about the FH, as I don't like to throw Forehand ever with my wizards. However, they are great as a BH driving putter. The wizard can truly do it all from the teebox to the green

I'll try driving them more tomorrow, assuming rain holds off. I only drove them a couple times so it probably want a fair assessment.

I initially hated the first Wizard I bought... It wasn't til I revisited them this year that I came to love the wizard. You can pretty much fill any putter shot with a few Wizards in the bag.

If only one of those few was a flat top low shoulder Evo I would be set. My favorite driving wizards are g9i and first run fossil. And they crack easily. Didn't like any Evo runs I've thrown, too domey. I ended up with a gold line mercy as my main driving putter instead- flies very similar, not quite as nice, but I'm not having to replace it nearly as much.

I'm with you. I'm not sure when I'll learn my lesson. I keep trying premium wizards and they are some of my least favorite discs of all time.

The diamond evo just burned me, so maybe next time I'll just set my money on fire and skip the middle man.

All the wizards I have owned were SSS, but they were pretty firm and velvety, so I gues my favorite is SSS.

Eraser is my favorite. A bit firmer with the same grip would be awesome too- or a zero hard clone.

I've been looking for the same thing you're saying - firm, grippy, zero hard clone.
I just got an order in from Gateway, got some S and SS. Asked for firm and velvety.
Softs were still a little slick, so I took some dish soap to the 3 Soft's, and scrubbed. My result was 3 Wizards that feel and flex identical to my Zero Hard Gauntlet.
