[Recommend] Nikko's three disc bag idea

Having pondered this for an additional 90 seconds, here is my question. Why would anyone suggest any driver for a beginner? Just to show how hard this sport can be?

As a rank beginner, drivers are what I aspire to, not what I throw, especially on the course.

My best scores have come from throwing two discs, a mid and a putter. YMMV

I would suggest a driver for two reasons:

1. The new player will absolutely positively want one. They want to throw FAR. NOW. So let them have their fun.

2. There are drivers that are fine for new players. Anything lower speed and understable is well suited for them, as they (hopefully) will quickly learn to throw straighter and with better form.

For me it would be: Opto Pure, Z Comet, Star Boss (all max weight)

For someone just starting out: Soft APX 165g, ESP Comet 170g, ESP XL 165g

Technically, drivers are anything from speed 6 and up. A Leopard is a driver (as I've oft been told). Starter packs have drivers, the Champion discs starter pack has a Valkyrie, etc. etc.

Well said - I've introduced athletic people to the game that throw 300+ after a brief tutorial - ain't rocket science to the natual athlete.

Yeah there are definitely a wide range of athletic abilities present in beginners. Then again, I've seen fairly athletic beginners who had played lots of "frisbee" and had bad habits struggle to throw 250 feet. Trained baseball players seem to pick it up the easiest as they can generally forehand over 300 very quickly. Now I've never yet seen a beginner that could putt well outside 20 feet; I think that is a unique skill to disc golf that just takes practice to develop.

I know two would be Ion and Banshee. I don't know if I want my US slot to be filled by a mid (Fuse) or a DD (Heat/PPD/Valk/etc). So I don't know and I look forward to my future self reading this and being bemused by lack of knowledge of past self.
