For more than 30 years, the Memorial Championship, presented by Discraft, has been the first elite series disc golf event of the season. The tradition continues. It will be the inaugural event of the 2020 Disc Golf Pro Tour Season.

The tournament is played on two beautiful venues. The jewel that is Fountain Hills, with its picturesque 75 foot fountain and Vista Del Camino providing the physical and mental challenges for the always stirring conclusion.

Will Eagle McMahon be able to repeat his 2019 performance and earn his second Disc Golf Pro Tour win? On the women's side, Eveliina Salonen became the first European woman to win the Memorial, will she be able to repeat? Make plans to tune in February 27 - March 1st to see who will win the first stop of the season!

Ughhh...I mean yeahhh, the Memorial! I will be starved for some new DG content by then, so I will for sure watch it, but it's a boring tournament. Probably the worst of all of them. At least they get it out of the way early. It's really the only way to make it tolerable, barely

Should hopefully have some post pro vids from a couple events before then anyway. Wintertime and Las Vegas.

Well Vegas is also boring but they have the 3 different layouts on the ball golf course don't they? That's not an NT or DGPT though anymore I thought. It's betterish than Memorial though. Appreciate the updates though Brutus

Worst is in Utah having to watch the wack a tree disc golf, courses so thick with trees and brush you are going to hit something no matter if you are a Rick W/Paul McBeth. With a bit of help the Utah course could be better for disc golfers on a few permanent holes, not the temp one they used this year. I fear that is what more and more new Pro Tour disc golf tournaments will be, wack a tree disc golf just to keep things fair so the top players are not dominating all the time. Top players will be able to hit any type of placement Shots on tight courses that are super tight but not whack a tree tight, so the need to have all tournaments Whack a tree tight is a must.

One of the funner courses to watch is the one in Texas, The other Memorial on the National Tour that is a permanent course on a golf course that one does not think is possible on a golf course. That course uses the not used parts of a golf course woods and odd spots on the land to make a really interesting course.

Well... it looks like the early part of the FPO schedule will be a bit more competitive this year. Henna and Evelina will be at LVC, Memorial, Texas States, The Open and Waco...

*yawn*

let me know when they get to Oregon and the East Coast

Ehh... Texas States and Waco aren't bad courses. They aren't Idlewild or Milo but they for sure are better than Fountain and Vista. I'm just happy for them that they are actually making a tour over here. Would I rather it be in summer for the better courses? Yea, but that's also the time of the year where there are several big Euro events. Gotta take what we can get.

Texas States this year at Lindsey Park in Tyler, Dogwood Gold DGC.

Fun lead card for MPO. Good mix of playing styles, plus the hot hands from both WTO and LVC.

Last I heard, the first day(s) of live broadcast will only be available on Disc Golf Network. Is that still true? I don't see DGN in my app store yet.

From the Ultiworld article...

Disc golf fans will get a chance to check out the new broadcast for free at the DGPT's first tournament, The Memorial Championships, which begins on February 27th. Paywalled coverage will start at the WACO Annual Charity Open on March 12-14.

All of the DGPT live coverage will be on the DGN. For the Memorial, all rounds are free. For other DGPT events, only the final round will be free. Post produced will all still be free like usual.

I don't think you need the app, pretty sure you can view on discgolfnetwork.com. I do see the app in iOS now though, called DiscGolfNetwork.

The 12:00pm card looks fun..Simon, Drew, JC and Hammes

Live starts late for me i Sweden. . i still think the new start time for FPO hurts the European views

Any word on whether this first free live stream for will remain available on DGN after the broadcast? I'd like to watch the replay to decide if this service is worth $.

Seems likely, since all of last year's live streams are archived and available on DGN already.
