Ok, I tried the search on this (and I've googled the crap out of it) to no avail.

Our local disc golf club (LVDGC) has an 'aces' page, and at the bottom there are two more sections labeled 'Black Ace' and 'Purple Ace'. Now, I've deduced by reading some other forum content that a Black Ace is when you drop and ace in the wrong basket. Is that right? And what the heck is a Purple Ace?

Thanks!

Black ace is one throw wrong basket. Seem it and it is great guy was near tears, I'd be stoked. A couple holes at my home course da crick there are a couple chances for el Negro UNO! Even take my putter to tee and try for it if course isn't busy.

Ready to see what purple ace is?

Purple Ace = You aced with a purple disc

aka a "sassy ace"

When on your first shot on a hole during a round you hit one of those fat balding guys trolling the course near sunset with no discs in their hands who eyeballed you a little funny when you pulled in. They seem to have an affinity for the wooded holes or the tall grass.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, see this thread....

I don't think I want to know what the purple ace is...that make a pink ace even better?

Green ace=with enviornmentally friendly plastic. Echo, hpp etc.?
Baby ace= hole less than 200 or whatever

What is a Cubby Ace?

A Cubby ace is when you throw multiple discs on the same hole and one of them gets an ace. It isn't really considered an ace because you took multiple trys at it so it is called a cubby ace.

So I was playing last weekend, and on one hole there is a garbage can oddly placed next to a tree on the left side of the fairway....I throw a nice shot, a little right, it nicks a branch, turns left and goes straight in the trash can! Unfortunately, my disc did smell like beer after that:)
Now, I understand that this is definitely not an ace...but there should be some kind of name for it.
I thought trash can ace or something like that, but I'm sure we can come up with something better...
