My PIAS is a rip off and a half

UGH...I liked the guy...he actually gave me a very good deal. Everyone in the Raleigh area can also buy some pretty good plastic from the Zebulon Disc Golf Club! Come play one our monthly's and you can get paid in good plastic!! :)

I played at Zebulon and found a maroon champion boss lying in the grass in plain site. I sold the disc and someone said who is sharky? The name sharky was written in maroon writing on a maroon disc. There was a part of a number, but it was unreadable for us to return it, plus I was already back to MD.

If you know Sharky, I owe him a disc.

Do not buy discs from the PIAS at Crossroads, problem solved.
Don't worry, I don't. I bought an x-out from there when I was starting out...then I found the GGGT, DGC, etc and the marketplace. which was bad. In the past week I think i've bought...12,34,5,678,9101112...12. ten discs. HOLY CRAP, I just counted them. No wonder my shelf is getting full and my bank acct is getting whittled away at.
Attention everyone! Don't sell me any discs. If I ask, tell me it'll cost $25 per disc.

I just picked up an x-out 11x firebird at the PIAS in raleigh for $5. It is labeled "B" which is odd b/c it is like the fourth one I've owned with just the "B" marking.

No ****....I wish you had let me know you were playing in Zeb, I would have met you! Yep...Sharky is a local. Unfortunately, we kicked him out of the Zeb club for hitting out club president and knocking him to the ground. Like everyone says...karma is a bitch!

Actually, since then, we're good! We really built a solid club this year with lots of local and surrounding support. I think we're gonna be alright. I am lax on the website right now, just been so busy....but I think we're gonna keep growing. Frank, you have no idea how badly we want to shed that reputation! :(

But I can tell you this, I will call out a dangerous, violent and volatile situation whenever I see it. Everyone should be aware of what they are possibly dealing with.

It's just gonna take a while what with your last couple of leaders and how they have ended their runs.

I can say this....we have managed to make a profit this year and give back more than ever. We had a membership appreciation day, free to play, cash prizes, we grilled out for everyone. We had a 'doubles point series' and gave out prizes. We are giving out bag tag awards at the end of the year with money already set aside. We gave out sandwiches to all attendees during lunch at a monthly, setup a halloween course.....I say this b/c we haven't had "great" turnouts...but amazingly, we've made a profit, improved the course, and followed through. This didn't happen in the most recent year.

We weren't given much to start with.....very small amt of cash on hand actually...and we inherited lots of Ching and Zing Rocs and double stamped discs. It was impossible to figure out what revenue should have been generated because it was never documented or paid out.

We are moving towards an executive board without Pres/VP/Sec etc. There will be appointments by the city parks and rec and additional will be voted on. We are going to keep growing. I think there's something about our events that make everyone feel comfy and usually, fairly profitable. We've got a good disc inventory....thanks to Kirk Yoo and Larry Leonardi. They've both supported our club from the beginning and that makes a huge difference.

It was a while ago, 6-7 months. I played it on my way to Florida.

You are going to let the City Parks and Rec Dept get involved?? Why?? And how will those genius's help? Wow. Good luck y'all.

Sorry, I meant to say 2 out of 3 positions. And oh yeah, they will really bring some creative ideas!

We mostly work with them for reserving pavilions and park logistics. They are pretty cool though, we say hole 3 teepad needs to be cleaned up...they came in, removed a privet, trimmed the rest back. They do alright. They do a good job of working with us!!!

I think with like 5 fairways being overflow parking for baseball games, you would need to coordinate with the parks department.
