Don't think the are any understable axis. It is oat, unless it's beat. Those things are stable. Ups has a beat one I've seen fly understable, but it definately has some mileage on it.

Depends on your point of reference -- My definition of a stable/nuetral mid would be an ESP Buzzz or so. My experience is that my 173 Glow Axis is more understable than my 173 ESP Buzz -- Even with the Buzzz having more mileage on it.

However, it's not like a beat Kite or Stingray though -- and if that is your definition of understable, then my Axis is not understable.

I have stated this before. I have thrown several axis, and only one has been understable out of the box, and it was an eclipse. I didn't think there were any understable axis either until I physically threw that one.

Since they have proton plastic on lock and are still developing the neutron plastic, it makes sense (to me) that the volt will debut in proton first? Or at least both? Anyways I'm super stoked on this release.

First off, they definitely said it will be debuting in Neutron, and why would they announce a new plastic with a new disc and not produce any of their molds in it? Just doesn't make sense.

Ok...well then...the neutron stamp is lame. lol :)

I like the clean look!

in addition to that question. will neutron plastic come in regular and soft?

Great question! Totally slipped my mind. I'm going to assume that they'll have both regular and soft, only seems sensible.

Get ablank and have it dyed. Great idea. Hmmm.

GENIUS!

At first I was like sweet a driver and bringing back the opaque plastic, but the standardized stamp has me put off, I like different stamps :(

According to ZAM there will be a unique stamp for it when/if it comes out in proton.

The first run greens, which were super flat, did have some turn to them right out of the box, but not much. I did also get a 174 flat Axis that had some turn to it brand new. As for my really understable Axis, it's been through hell and back.

You talking about the profile sketch? Every disc has some kind of slant on the rim, if they didn't then they'd be a pain to throw. If you look at the picture on the main page, it looks like the rim is pretty damn near vertical. (along with the profile sketch ZAM made)

I designed it with them and no offense taken.

very nice and clean design. the minimalist look works great and is in keeping with the earlier mvp stamps. as you aleady know, creating simple and efficient art is sometimes the hardest things to develop and ultimately convey.

when the volt is released and starts carving new ground in driver performance and reliabilty, suddenly the stamp will take on a new meaning to most... "omg the stamp on the volt is beyond sick!"

zam is the man.

agreed. Can definitely respect the dude for putting a consistent look into the MVP brand. They couldn't have hired anybody better. Anxious to see the Proton version of the "Volt" stamp.

bought the ion/anode and my new opto pure to the field today. Man once again the mvp is the winner here for me. I think that the curved inner rim has gotten to my head in a good way. Seems to work with my grip much better than the pure.

On the other hand the eze pures have kicked my anodes out of putting duties loving the shallow pure.

This is leaving me to think that the anode may be getting knocked out of the bag. The ion is taking more and more of my approaches and drives off the tee. Never thought i would be without the anode but its getting close to the b team.

I might just have to show you some more Anode magic I guess! ;) Honestly tho, they are both great discs.

not giving up yet. opto pure is out. now tomorrow its the ion vs. the anode. the showdown!!! who am i kidding i may have to make room for both. The differences to me are showing a ton more lately.

Just got my first MVP midrange, the axis. One thing I noticed right away is that with more weight closer to the edge it feels like I get get more snap than a regular disc of the same weight, and more snap=awesome. I never really thought about the snap benefits of the overmold before holding the disc but I guess this is what MVP is talking about here:

"The process of transferring mass away from the axis of rotation increases the disc's moment of inertia at parabolic proportions."

Anyhow, I wouldn't mind a moment of inertia boost on my drivers so I can't wait to hold a Volt!

Im still waiting to hear about Neutron coming to the Vector, Axis, Ion, and Anode.. I have to try all 4.

I finally replaced my first lost axis today before a tourney and trusted it enough to bring it right in. One early shank was followed by a few good drive/ approaches and particularly a sick, tight, 370' drive and birdie on a mostly unbirdiable hole everyone throws driver on. Made the cash by a stroke so I can thank the new axis :D

^^ This. Mostly interested in a Neutron Axis and Vector.

And I want to know more about how grippy or flexible it is.

Does anyone else find the black rim green Vectors to be very straight flying with little fade at the end?

On the other hand... my white rim (eclipse) vectors seem to be far more overstable and doesnt hold a straight line very long at all..

all my proton vectors fly the same (stright with little fade) and all my eclipse proton fly the same (more overstable) so they are consistent between the two molds

i just find them to be two different discs in my bag.. i go to eclipse for hyzers and i go to my proton for long straight with short bootleg left

Im RHBH by the way.

I'm the opposite. Proton is more stable than Eclipse. In my experience the stability depends on the dome. More dome = more stability from what I've found.
