Under 700 feet for the destroyer? Does that mean that the XS, TeeBird and Valkyrie are still the only discs (that I know of) to 'officially' go over 700 feet?
I'm the only person I know who uses an XS nowadays. It's the only driver I keep in my bag (I'm very minimalist) other than a 141 gram beat-to-shit Cheetah for rollers.
Just to reply to myself: the Buzzz so far seems to be doing what I wanted out of a Skeeter. It flies straight and just a bit more overstable than the Goblin but I can get it out longer than I'm comfortable with the Goblin. I've only done a quick bit of practice so far but it was working for most...
Thanks for the info. I only got into this sport in '05, so I've missed a lot of the history of it. I'd love for their to be a comprehensive history of molds/manufacturers and stuff like that. Hell, I'd even write it if I can get the materials. I'm a professional historian ;)

I like the feel of Star plastic (and it's equivalents from other manufacturers) better than the Champion, but I'm against it on general principle. It's cheaper to manufacture than the Champion plastic, yet they charge more for it. I'm sure I'll get a star something-or-other some day, but I'm not...
172 and 165? A 7 gram spread is tiny. 7 grams is a fifth of an ounce. They'll likely be functionally identical.
If you want them to act at all different, go max weight and 150 or something.
