    Hidden Ridge DGC discussion

Hyzer House Barndo on AirBnB. Stop out for a visit and stay the night! It's a great location if you're on the Bourbon Trail and find yourself starting around Cincy. Hit the N.Ky locations like New Riff, Party Source, and Boone Co. Distilling then stay here at Hidden Ridge. From HR it's a...

    Hidden Ridge DGC discussion

Be on the lookout for the Hyzer House Barndominium at Hidden Ridge DGC! The listing should be hitting AirBnB later today. It sleeps 5 comfortably with a queen bed, a built in bunk bed nook, and a futon in the main living space. And of course, easy access to the best private course in Northern...

    Hidden Ridge DGC discussion

Thanks y'all. To say it's been an adventure since day one would be a HUGE understatement. I wouldn't trade it for anything though. I forgot to mention that we also have a concrete/landscape contractor lined up to add at least 6 poured concrete pads this Spring while we have him here for some...

    Hidden Ridge DGC discussion

Exciting news on the HR front! Hey DGCR gang, it's been a minute since I've been around. Family life is keeping me pretty busy with soccer, gymnastics, and still working towards getting our barndominium ready for use as an AirBnB rental. Anyway, we're in the process of executing a small land...

    Hidden Ridge DGC discussion

The course is back in action this weekend Nov. 24-26! It's been a busy year with my family but Hidden Ridge season is (finally) upon us. Stop out and see me if you're around the Cincinnati, Lexington, Louisville triangle.

    I sure miss HOD.

I also miss the HOD. I'd even scroll back through them when I happened to go a few days without visiting.

Hey Tim, pleasure meeting you in early April here at Hidden Ridge. Didn't realize you were an old DGCR'r as well when you visited. Always cool to add another member to the list of those I've had the opportunity to meet.

    Bagging the baggers

Thanks David. DGCR always seems to want to turn my pics sideways or even completely upside down, even when I've edited and saved them correctly on my PC. Always annoys the hell out of me.

    Bagging the baggers

If you don't mind, can you shoot me a picture of the sign (on here, facebook, or whatever is easiest for you)? It's been on my list of things to have my sign guy do, but I've consistently put other projects ahead of it. I think it may be time to bump it up on the "to do" list.

    Bagging the baggers

Quick story time. My wife called me yesterday as I was making my way home from an after work round with a buddy and asked if we were expecting any golfers. We don't get many visitors so I'm usually on top of letting her know when we have someone stopping by to play, especially if I'm not going...

Baskets stolen at new Kentucky course

Far as I can tell, the course went it pretty quick. Dr. Ryan proposed it to the city/parks dept. sometime in early 2022 and it was complete and ready to play sometime in Oct. I don't know that there was much in the way of public hearings/discussion.

Baskets stolen at new Kentucky course

We had some absolutely insane storms roll through last night. Hard rain, very strong winds (which are still rolling through today). This person had to have gone out in the middle of all of it to accomplish this. Sounds like it was most, if not all 18 baskets.

Baskets stolen at new Kentucky course

And this time they used bolt cutters and cut off a bunch of chains in addition to bending baskets. This is one determined NIMBY. Devou Park vandalized again.

    Camping on Site

With enough notice I'm usually more than happy to let folks throw a tent up for a night. The fire ring and water source are already there, and if you prefer filtering creek water, there's a creek 30 feet away. That said, the course typically isn't playable from about May-Sept. so I've not had...

I got you buddy.... Ru4por's map... Here's mine... I keep creeping further out. Picked up more of Michigan last summer/fall and even a couple more up in Gaylord, MI right after the holidays. I should be bagging some more Florida and possibly some California this year.
