How accurate is your putting from 25ft?

Like I'm sure many people did, I tried to see how many I could get in a row after the McBeth video of 50 in a row. I only had 5 of the same mold, so I had to walk to the basket and recollect after every 5 shots which I feel does make you break your rhythm (however there are fewer discs to bounce...

LH Baseball swing vs RHBH Disc Golf

I grew up playing baseball my whole life and though I am right handed have always batted lefty. When I first learned disc golf, I noticed almost immediately that I could throw further than most, and I think a lot of that had to do with my baseball experience. However, learning to control my arm...

Jenkins/McBeth forehand (this is why we can't have nice things)

This was an entertaining read to say the least. As far as forehand technique is concerned, shouldn't the same rules we judge backhand by apply to forehand? By this I mean putters or "true line" discs. Simon Lizotte has awesome backhand form and subsequently he throws putters really well (and...

PDGA ratings are up. How'd you do?

I can remember one where a 41 wouldn't have been 1000 rated. This course from short tees has more par 2's than 3's (that's what it plays like). I think a -14 (or 40) is 1,000 rated. The second round was from long tees, which is quite a bit more normal, but still a birdiefest.

    DG in Guam??

I think you missed something. I wasn't attempting to say that this "fake" review had any merit. Simply, there are local players in Guam. Furthermore, if someone who is reading this thread is in Guam and looking for equipment, the city bought some two years ago and it should still be available...

    DG in Guam??

There were two temporary course in Guam for awhile. Locals would carry the basket from position to position (now that's dedication!). I don't know if anyone does it anymore, I haven't been there for about a year and a half. There are still discs and baskets for public use at the mayors office or...

Viridisk is having our Black Friday deal. =P

Nice work guys! The commentary is MUCH better than previously and everything looks cleaner in general. I thought it was a good balance of multiple angles without feeling too cluttered. Definitely a step in the right direction, congrats!

    Best unsponsored players

I hope your right about that, it'd help me sleep better at night.

    Best unsponsored players

I was watching this in person that day and can honestly say it was some of the best disc golf I've ever seen. PERIOD. The round he shot to catch Cale was almost perfect, and then the playoff itself was just incredible! The ratings and footage don't do it justice. Keith's shots are so fun to...

Odds of beating a player rated x

So basically Disc golf is like ecology, the error term/residual effects/individual variations are huge!

Odds of beating a player rated x

First, let me say that I love seeing a post where someone actually shows knowledge on a subject, in this case statistics, and provides real data. Second, I don't claim to fully understand how the ratings system in disc golf works, but would love to be informed. Basically, correct me if I'm...

    USDGC Statistics

What kind of timeline/plan do you have for the release of these Stats? I think it'd be fascinating to see the results. It'd be interesting to know which holes have the greatest variance (largest score spread) and where the tournament has most often been lost. I'm sure 888 and 17's island are two...

    DG in GUAM?

@AW2Phillips Renee can be contacted through her e-mail: [email protected] She'll be able to give you whatever information you need about the EDGE materials including the portable baskets. @on an island yeah, that was definitely my Dad and my brother. I hope you're getting good use out of...

    DG in GUAM?

I lived in Saipan for a few years and designed several courses while I was there. Unfortunately, Saipan being Saipan, things never came fully around and no permanent courses are there, though if you ever visit I have detailed maps/instructions for where the course would have been. Last year in...

    Powered down fairway drivers

I hardly even think of discs as "mids" "fairways" or "Distance Drivers" any more. Every disc has different flight characteristics that can be useful at different speeds/angles. I used to think that if a hole was 300 or less I had to use a mid/putter or I was a failure. The truth is, if it's 300...
