Review by SigmaChris in course Dr. James A. Dillon Park

2.50 star(s) Overrated Nice signage New baskets Multiple tees and basket location Short but not a bad thing for families or beginners Majority of the holes (back 9) are in a wide open green space. No way this course should get 4 out of 5. It has nice equipment but the layout is not interesting enough or...

You know you're addicted to DG when...

You play a round in the light rain with mud on the ground from previous heavy rains because you are driving by a new course you never played before. That sounds innocent enough but I played in dress shoes, dress pants, and a polo because I didn't have any other DG clothes. Lesson learned to...

Review by SigmaChris in course Countryside YMCA

2.00 star(s) Easy beginner course The course is what it is, a short beginner course in Lebanon, OH on the YMCA property. You must be a YMCA member or play with a member...any YMCA membership should give you access to the property. I believe non-members pay $5 to gain access to the YMCA while with members...

Sick of Litter on the course

I won't argue that people litter and its disgusting. I usually golf with my dog and always have grocery bags to pick up her poop. Well my dog usually doesn't poop at the park for some reason so the bag comes in handy to put the trash, better than dirty water or old beer at the bottom of my...

Disc Golf Courses at High Schools

Contact the principal or athletic director at the school to answer questions. You could help with the design and up keep of the course if you think you will use it a lot and you want to see a good course. Heck maybe you could even volunteer and coach a club team. Two obvious "no no's" would...

    a disc trip gone awry

Glad you got the round in but FYI...hotels allow you to call for a late check out that will give you until 1.00 or 1.30. As long as they aren't book checking people in and needing the room ASAP the hotels will accommodate your request.

Review by SigmaChris in course Parma DGC

3.00 star(s) A good 9 hole course - good signage at tees, directions to next tee, and light deflectors to on the trees to show where the fairway goes. - good use of the woods for the 9 hole layout that keeps you isolated from the rest of the park. - wooded course that puts accuracy at a premium but a good...

Review by SigmaChris in course Hedges Boyer Park DGC

2.50 star(s) Decent course - good beginner course - great signs on the tee pad - each hole is sponsored by a local business...great idea for people trying to set up a course in their area to reduce expenses to the city. - At #1 tee, there is a 10' x 6' board that has each hole mapped and their sponsor...

    Playin' in the Rain.

If its a drizzle or what I call spit, no umbrella. If its raining hard I would bring a golf umbrella, those extra large diameter umbrells. The support bars underneath are strong enough that you can hang a golf towel from them. Hold the umbrella until just before your throw and then lay it...
