[Recommend] Best disk for overhand distance Drive Tomahawk throws?

My favorite OH disc is the Nuke OS - I can make it to / past the basket at 434 feet at local course. Big wide pan and then typically rolls an additional 30-40ft when it lands.

I pre-ordered this last week. I was told that expected shipping date was Jan. 14th, 2015.

Welcome from Illinois. Don't forget to find a good disc to tomahawk :D

    What is your best shot?

Tomahawks for days. This is the only shot I could make when I started playing and I'm pretty sure (barring arm injury) it'll always be my best shot. I used to be a pitcher in baseball, QB in football - and the arm strength is still there. Best shots are to tommy a Flick up to 300' with very...

    Putting with a Nova

Awesome - makes me feel better that I'm on the right track. I definitely put spin on my putts and love that it holds the straight line - only time I miss is when I come up short and get a basket dink. Thanks for the replies :D I'll be snagging 4-9 more Novas in the next week or two!

    Putting with a Nova

Question for the more experienced members... I'm looking to buy 5-10 putters this coming Winter and really work on putting consistency and form. I plan on buying a basket for my basement... etc. etc. I've been putting with the Innova Nova disc for about 1 year now - and am pretty darn...

    400' now what?

I could tomahawk a Nuke OS 400'+ the first week I played disc golf. Some natural transition from baseball. That being said, I couldn't (and still can't) putt for crap. I think great next steps for you will be mastering RHBH and RHFH midrange shots that can make it through woods or alleys...

    "Rip Cord" Backhand Breakthrough

Awesome trolling video. Maybe this was an 85ft par 2 that is downhill?

    Panama City Beach FL Newbie

Welcome from Illinois and Iowa! Out of curiosity, why are you working on RHFH when it takes the same line as your LHBH?? :D Don't forget about tomahawks :D

Review by Tomahawk Cook in course Prospect Park

4.00 star(s) One of my fav spots -Very good mix of shots needed to score well, backhand, flicks, tomahawks are all called for on certain holes if you're going to deuce -There are a solid mix of lengths as well, some holes are smack in front of you with no obstacles while others are 500ft away with woods...

    Straddle putt

Slightly pidgeon-toed and straddled for putts inside the circle for me. I switch to staggered for longer distance putts and for any jump putts. I find it extra useful that I straddle inside the circle whenever a putt comes up that must be straddled to have any chance. Before I straddled...

Review by Tomahawk Cook in course Schultz Park

2.00 star(s) Decent Private Course -Located in a nice neighborhood -Low traffic park, there will probably be nobody but you there, and if there's someone there they won't be disc golfing -Birdie friendly, holes are all under 350 so every single hole can be deuced -Well kept grass and tree trimming minus...

New from Quad Cities - Illinois/Iowa

Hi all! This is my 2nd year discing - so I'd still consider myself pretty darn new. I just learned how to actually backhand this year! My forum name comes from my best shot - a monster tomahawk :D I used to be a pitcher in baseball, QB in football, etc., so I'm lucky to have a cannon for...
