I went to Burke Lake Park today and found that the basket on 15 is gone. None of the other baskets appear disturbed. It was there when I went last week. I assume it's been stolen, but I haven't talked to the park authority about it. Keep your eyes peeled, Virginia people.
I got my brother an M-Color Astra for this past Christmas. I can't really remark much on the way it flies, except to say that he seems to use it well. Neither him nor I are very good. I can say that the print on it looks really cool but is super slippery.
I put in an order for a pair this afternoon. I had been contemplating it for a couple weeks and figured that now was the time, while there's still stock out there.
I've been finding that some types of shoes are certainly better than others for disc golf. I've got a pair of shoes meant for minimalist trail running whose outsoles have really started coming unglued from the rest of the shoe. I think it's because of torsion during a throw.
It wouldn't surprise me to find out that the special and signature editions are numbered separately. Looks like the top number must denote the type of bag.
I'm on the fence about throwing the ones I've got. On one hand, they look and feel nice and I'd love to chuck them. On the other hand, there are reports of them flying a little differently than the production Buzzz'es that I have in my bag currently. I'd rather not become dependent on a limited...
I was able to take a Shock out today for the first time. The course that I went to only has holes that go out to 275-300, so I was only getting ~3/4 of the flight out of it, but my initial impressions are positive. It flew absolutely laser straight with my (beginner) forehand throw. It seems to...
I have a Gazelle that I throw on occasion. It came in a DD mystery box last year. Seems like a nice enough disc, it just didn't find a way into my bag.
I was excited to get my Shock today, as I get out of class early enough that I could go throw it. I checked the FedEx tracking while I was at class and it was listed as 'delivered.' I got home and there's no box here. :gross:
This isn't the first time that FexEx has screwed up an shipment of...
As far as DG equipment goes, I could use a new pair of shoes. The ones I've been wearing are torn up from the thorns at a local course.
I'll also be getting a set of new bike wheels.
Box.
I bought one and put it in my bag. I found that it flew somewhere between a Buzzz and Wasp and that I went to that combo more often than the Roc3, so it came out.
I picked up a couple. One to keep for sure, whether or not the other one stays depends on how much I like the first one. At the very least, it should be an easy trade for a few weeks.
I really love the Volt, such a predictable disc in my hands. I'm hoping that this one is much of the same, that...
I don't know if the price is right (probably not, as DGC tends to mark stuff way up) but DGC has a handful of these in stock right now.
