Have a pair of first run Pink Brinsters... 9/10 and 7/10... They fly exactly the same!
Stupid Overstable, Domey, but FH very well, surprisingly due to the dome.
I like the slow is smooth, smooth is far approach now... I feel I can gain the distance back with proper conditioning and patience. Maybe should only throw Speed 10 max till I can push those 400+
Late Season Update
Knees have been sore lately, 10 year old ACL tears both knees... Distance has dropped significantly. At least putting and FH has improved. Dropped tons of unnecessary discs.
Wizard: 225/275 Roc: 275/325 Teebird: 300/350 Tern: 350/400+
Distance Drivers:
175 Star...
11x plastic has a little bit of tree love and a whole lot of confidence blended into the polymers
11x is generally more stable/over stable, flatter dome, and much more durable than 12x, maybe due to Innova having higher quality control standards 10+ years ago. If they're pumping out...
I pretty much try to do this on 90% of drives. Changing the plane of throw with upper body and follow through, but remaining in a closed stance to ensure proper throwing form.
RHBH Perspective
Open L-R steps for spike, sweeping, oddball hyzers.
Reverse ? For Downhill Anhyzers
Thunderbird
Biggest disappointment for me. New and seasoned, they felt good in hands, but the flight was lackluster. Not as predictable in wind as Firebird & not much longer than a Teebird. I have an Orc that is very stable that flies similar lines but holds up better in headwinds...
Today its 5... 3-7 somewhere in that range typically
Lost my 2 year seasoned Wizard :wall:
While working in a new one, I actually got an Ace with it! Promptly retired the disc.
Put Opto Pure and Soft Neutron Envy back in, got an Ace with Pure same hole 6 days later!
Now i brought the Wizard...
Another vote for 170 Elite X Comet; it is the truest flying disc in the bag.
Pairs well with a heavy Z/ESP as long as they are domey.
Flat Comets are not the way to go. :gross:
Overall, some version of a Roc... 2013 MST DX Flat-Top Roc specifically.
Opto Pure is very close 2nd, *D Star Destroyer is a distant 3rd, with X Comet 4th and ESP Glo Zone 5th right behind.
Yeah thats about the dome I'm looking for. I love Flat Tops, but they are a different beast... The mild dome like this one flattens as it ages! THE Mythical Inniva Roc.
My favorite Roc ever was a pretty flat yellow MultiPurpose 12x KC Pro... It felt like Soft Butter in the hand but was stiff and grippy. Straight as an arrow, 0 Turn 0 Fade, could absorb as much power as I gave it. But she shattered last month on tree :(
Any new KC Pro's coming out flattish...
Any info on those LE Midnight and Glo Zones? Were these released together in a small run, via DynamicDiscs.net or something? I know Z Comets had something like this.
The Glo I have feels $$$, almost chalky, slightly concave, and bombs, for a Zone. Played league last week and Doubles partner...
