Brodie Smith PDGA #128378

😁 Best players that I'm slightly aquatinted with, Bo runs the weekly mini's that I play and Coda usually plays. Seem to be pretty good dudes too.

Well since you're tight with Coda, see if he wants to hook me up with some of his old Westside stuff. Northmen in particular, ya know, for us big arms. :D

Hanging with the big dawgs rubbed off.

Watching his vids you can tell he's a pretty intense competitor. I'm guessing he took a lot of pressure off himself with this decision and is looser and playing good golf because of it.

Its also a pretty good idea to kick it around local scene for awhile in general. Everyone needs that back and forth with other good area players to prepare them for the tour. Just hopping straight into it was a bad idea in hindsight.

Brodie has got to stop taking everything every troll says so freaking seriously. You'd think with his experience as sort of a celebrity he'd have some experience dealing with it but he keeps posting little whiny tweets like this:

People will say anything behind their keyboards. I have yet to have someone come up to me in person to have a conversation. Still waiting.

Jeebers man...internet trolls are everywhere. Turn the page.

Strong mental game to birdy the two last holes to win. . and two +1020 rated rounds.. .

He can very well be +1000 rated before the year ends. . and thats GOOD to hit a 1000 in his first year of playing

His rating was going to drop a couple points but if this event gets on the Sept update, they might keep him from dropping and may even go up a point or two.

He'll get plenty of opportunities to raise it up to 1000. There are lots of tourneys in his area in the late summer/fall.

This feels like a good level tournament for him to play, easier to beat a few +1000 rated players than basicly ALL of the +1000 rated players at Ledgestone.

But the next event he is signed up for have 10 players rated +1000

plus... there's a pandemic going on..... calling out people for not talking to you face to face right now is kinda tone deaf

After a meh first round(952), Brodie shot the hot round of the event(1015) at a ctier in Texas and almost came from behind for the win. Finished 2nd 2 shots back... No top players at the event but looked to be a solid local field.

He posted a vid for the final round of this event from back in August...

That teepad on #4 is definitely James Conrad approved...
